June 14, 2026 Series: Chiseled Series Scripture: Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Sermon: Chiseled by Failure Scripture: Luke 22:54-62; John 21:15 “Then seizing him, they led him away and took him into the house of the high priest. Peter followed at a distance. And when some there had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter sat down with them. A servant girl saw him seated there in the firelight. She looked closely at him and said, “This man was with him.” But he denied it. “Woman, I don’t know him,” he said. A little later someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” “Man, I am not!” Peter replied. About an hour later another asserted, “Certainly this fellow was with him, for he is a Galilean.” Peter replied, “Man, I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Just as he was speaking, the rooster crowed. The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.” ‭‭Luke 22:54-62 “When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”” ‭‭John‬ ‭21‬:‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬ INTRODUCTION: Failure is not final.  Movements start with movement: * Peter overestimates his strength. Peter replied, "Lord, I am ready to go with you to prison and to death."  Luke 22:33 * Fear exposes what confidence cannot cover. The seizing him (Jesus), they led him away and took him into the house of the high priest. Peter followed at a distance. Luke 22:54 * Peter weeps, but does not disappear. And he went outside and wept bitterly. Luke 22:62 * Jesus restores Peter with love and commission. “When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”” ‭‭John‬ ‭21‬:‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬ CONCLUSION: Shame says, “You are finished.” Jesus says, “Come back, and let Me rebuild you.” ★ Support this podcast ★ [https://bridgechurch.tv/give/]

Sermon: Chiseled by Correction INTRODUCTION: God's correction is a blessing that leads to abundant life.  "Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid." ‭‭        -Proverbs‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬ ‭NIV‬ "Whoever heeds life-giving correction will be at home among the wise. Those who disregard discipline despise themselves, but the one who heeds correction gains understanding."          -‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭15‬:‭31‬-‭32‬ ‭NIV‬‬ "Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses." - Proverbs‬ ‭27‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Scripture Text: Matthew 16:22-23. "Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. "Never, Lord!" he said. "This shall never happen to you!" Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns."" Movements start with movement... 1. Peter gets revelation, but still lacks maturity. (Peter Gets It) Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." -Matthew 16:16 1. Jesus corrects Peter's thinking. (Peter Missed It)  Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns."" Matthew 16:23 1. Peter wants Jesus without the cross. Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. And the God of peace will be with you.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬-‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬ Personal Story of Anxiety: 15 year old anxious kid who did not have a smart device permenanently glued to his hand. You have been framed! INTRODUCTION: Learn to manage your thoughts or your thoughts will begin to manage you! "For as a man thinks in his heart so is he... (Proverbs 23:7 KJV) "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." (Romans 12:2 NIV) 1 Timothy 4:16... Watch your life and doctrine closely! 2 Timothy 4:3 says, "For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. Practical Steps: 1. Practice Positive Self Talk 2. Practice Limiting Social Media Intake 3.
