Descripción

It’s January — so obviously we’re all supposed to have our lives together by now. New habits. New mindset. New personality. Preferably before lunch. In this episode, Emma and Bobo dive headfirst into the whole “New Year, New You” nonsense — unpacking why resolutions feel inspiring for about five minutes before immediately making us want to lie down forever. They talk broken promises to ourselves, the guilt of not “doing enough,” and the very real emotional support role played by snacks (biscuits absolutely count as dinner, thank you!). Somewhere between the laughs, they land on a refreshingly kind truth: you don’t need to reinvent yourself to be worthy. You can want better things for yourself without bullying yourself into them. Emma wrestles with the urge to improve everything, while Bobo calmly reminds us that the “old you” has actually survived a lot — and maybe deserves a little respect, a cup of tea, and a very long lie down.

Friendship, Regret, and The Badger Who Saw Everything

This week on Chitty Chat, Emma & Bobo reunite with their schoolmate Justin—aka “The Badger”—to celebrate 40+ years of friendship, bad decisions, and stories that should probably stay buried. From schoolyard chaos to marriages, divorces, kids, distance (Sydney to New Zealand), and the occasional argument that absolutely should’ve ended things but didn’t, they unpack what long-term friendship really looks like: messy, loyal, hilarious, and slightly unhinged. With prosecco discoveries, beer debates, and relentless teasing, it’s a funny, heartfelt reminder that real friends know your entire history… and still pick up your call. Grab a drink, call your oldest mate, and join us for The Badger’s in Town—because some friendships survive purely out of love… and mutual blackmail.

The Hangover That Time Forgot

In this episode of Chitty Chat, Emma and Bobo raise a glass (and possibly regret it later) as they stumble through the wild history of alcohol, the questionable science of hangover cures, and the universal art of overindulging. From ancient beer brewed in clay pots to the modern-day cocktails they explore how humans have been getting tipsy for centuries—and suffering for it the next morning. Expect tales of medieval monks who basically invented happy hour, “cures” that might’ve been poison, and why these girls swear by a greasy KFC and two Beroccas.  So grab your hangover kit, drink water (seriously, drink water), and tune in for a buzzed-up chat that proves we’ve always been bad at knowing when to stop. Cheers to poor decisions and great stories! And just like that…we’re back!
