Seeing Is NOT Believing

In this message, we walk through the healing of the man born blind and ask why the people who saw the miracle with their own eyes still refused to believe. The disciples wanted an explanation for suffering. The Pharisees wanted an investigation. The healed man just wanted to tell the truth about what Christ had done for him. Along the way we look at why Jesus used mud instead of a word, why the healing happens on the Sabbath, why the man's own parents go silent out of fear, and why Jesus goes looking for him after religion casts him out. The title says it all: seeing is not believing. Belief is not produced by eyesight, it's produced by revelation.

Which Well?

Last week we stood beside a man who needed to be born. This week we stand beside a woman who needed to live. In John 4, Jesus crosses every barrier society had built (racial, religious, moral, social, and gender) to meet a Samaritan woman at Jacob's well. He doesn't begin with her sin. He begins with a gift, offering living water that satisfies the thirst no earthly well ever can. This message walks through her story: the shame that sent her to the well at noon instead of morning, the moment Jesus exposes her past not to shame her but to heal her, her attempt to change the subject into a theological debate, and the moment she leaves her water jar behind and runs back to the very town she'd been hiding from. Every human being is thirsty. The question has never been whether we thirst, it's where we go to satisfy it. Growing Up: Why Nicodemus Had Information But Missed Intimacy (John 3)

Called to More, But Falling Short

The message centers on three transformative principles for walking in "more" with God: understanding our clean identity in Christ's righteousness, bringing darkness into God's light rather than fighting sin in our own strength, and prioritizing intimate presence with Jesus over mere religious activity. The core theological insight is that sin doesn't push God away from us; rather, it pushes us away from Him. Through Christ's sacrifice, believers are presented to the Father as holy, blameless, and above reproach—a foundational truth that enables authentic relationship and effective ministry.

None of These Things Move Me

This powerful message centers on the transformative power of spiritual determination, drawing from Acts 20:24 where Paul declares that none of these things move him from completing his race with joy. We're challenged to examine our own level of commitment to God's calling in our lives. The sermon explores how determination is born from desperation, which produces desire, which then produces our destiny. Through the story of Rizpah in 2 Samuel, who protected her sons' bodies for three months from vultures and beasts, we see a profound picture of persistent spiritual warfare. If she could fight that fiercely for her dead children, how much more should we contend for our living families, marriages, and God-given purposes?
