Portada del episodio KJ "Freedom" Garcia - CEO of PSISTORM Esports

KJ "Freedom" Garcia - CEO of PSISTORM Esports

KJ is an owner of PSISTORM esports, an organization out of Virginia that competes primarily in Starcraft II. He is an avid car fanatic and drives a Ferrari Scuderia, he met the rest of the owners through car events. In addition to his love of cars, we talk about Celebrate Fairfax a massive event in North VA., with 80-100,000 people attending where PSISTORM will be holding the PSISTORM Cup. KJ talks about bringing esports to a mainstream audience at the event on June 6th. In addition, we cover esports visa issues. With so many players coming from abroad, (PSISTORM has a couple now, and four more on the way) how do professional athletes visas work and what options do players have to get to America? *It was trash day when I recorded this and there was some added noise in the background as a result. I did my best to cut it out in editing but there is some choppy conversations as a result of waiting for trucks to go by.

Heroes/Heels in the FGC with Ryan “Filipino Champ” Ramirez

A Street Fighter and Marvel champion, Filipino Champ is a top finisher in fighting games since he debuted with a second place finish in his first Major. We talk about his switch from a heel (villain) to a hero in the eyes of the community and why the FGC is more prone to boisterous personalities and trash talk when compared with the rest of esports. In addition we talk about his top-five celebrity encounters including being called “real” by two-sport-athlete Deion “Primetime” Sanders. He recently moved on in a mutual agreement with Splyce and is enjoying free agency. Right now, he has his eyes on his “Ninja moment” (they were Budlight All-stars the same year) and believes it will come with the rumored development of fighting games by both Riot and Blizzard.
