đŸŽ™ïžđŸŒˆ You can’t have a podcast without a Blooper Reel! 😄 As we kick off our Pride Month Series, we're proving that bad connections, missed cues, awkward pauses, and general confusion are alive and well at... THIS age. Join Don & Gary for the outtakes, the laughs, and Part 1 of "Ain't Nobody Got Time For That" featuring special guest Ken Craig. It's insightful, inspiring, and occasionally held together with duct tape and wishful thinking. Because sometimes the bloopers are just as entertaining as the podcast. đŸŒˆđŸŽ™ïž ABOUT KEN CRAIG-https://www.castropatrol.org/chiefs/ [https://www.castropatrol.org/chiefs/] What started as a community meeting about safety turned into a 20-year mission. and how a simple invitation to speak about self-defense led him to help build and lead Castro Community on Patrol, train volunteers, and teach more than 1,000 self-defense classes to the LGBTQ+ community. Sometimes showing up for one meeting can change an entire neighborhood. As a Grand Master instructor of martial arts and head of Triangle Martial Arts Association [https://www.castropatrol.org/triangle-martial-arts-association/] when CCOP was being formed in mid 2006, Ken was asked to attend and speak at the very first public meeting at Joe’s Barber Shop on 17th Street in the Castro. Shortly after that meeting an organizing group was formed and Ken was asked to develop and deliver the initial volunteer training materials for a walking safety patrol.  The training content and concept was then approved by the San Francisco Police Department and by SF Safety Awareness For Everyone (SAFE) who were our fiscal sponsors at the time.  Ken led the very first volunteer training class for CCOP on November 11, 2006 certifying the first 23 volunteers for patrol, and he has conducted most subsequent volunteer training class since then as our director of Volunteer Training and Certification for CCOP. Ken continues to update and enhance our training methods, policies, procedures, and methods in collaboration with the rest of the Chief’s of Patrol. #CastroCommunityOnPatrol @castropatrol

đŸŽ™ïž “Potpourri Paloozah-Kvetching with The Oldies” 😄 Watch Don & Gary (The Oldies) attempt to record a podcast while fighting technologies, random “glitches,” and their own attention spans. Somewhere along the way, the conversation takes a hard left turn into the dating app GRINDR
because apparently NOTHING is off limits anymore. Oy vey. At one point the internet crashes, Gary panics, Don starts yelling at buttons, and SOMEHOW, we still think WE’RE smarter than technology. 😄 #DonAndGaryDoin60 #OKBoomer #TheOldies #PodcastChaos #TechnologyFail #OyVey #SeniorMoments #GlitchPlease Watch/Listen/Connect PODPAGE Website: https://www.podpage.com/don-gary-doin-60/ [https://www.podpage.com/don-gary-doin-60/] YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Pafifer-Pod [https://www.youtube.com/@Pafifer-Pod] YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZpisy-LA46ag7-R5ajnQKg [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZpisy-LA46ag7-R5ajnQKg] RIversideFM:  https://dongarydoin60.riverside.com/ [https://dongarydoin60.riverside.com/]   Apple:   https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/don-gary-doin-60/id1760331748 [https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/don-gary-doin-60/id1760331748] Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/donandgarydoin60?utm_source=qr&igsh=OTk0YzhjMDVIZA [https://www.instagram.com/donandgarydoin60?utm_source=qr&igsh=OTk0YzhjMDVIZA]

S3E3 'At The Movies' Love Diane -Featuring Diane Keaton #dianekeaton #atthemovies

This week on Don & Gary Doin’ 60, we roll out the red carpet for our latest segment, “At The Movies”—and we’re shining the spotlight on the one and only Diane Keaton. From her effortlessly iconic style (seriously, who else could make menswear look that cool?) to a career that spans 58 films and 6 published books, Diane Keaton doesn’t just show up—she defines the moment. Whether it’s The Godfather, Annie Hall, Baby Boom, or As Good As It Gets, she brings charm, wit, and that unmistakable “only Diane can do that” magic every single time. Don and Gary break down their favorite performances, celebrate her unforgettable individuality, and probably argue about which movie is her best—because of course they do. Join us for a fun, feel-good tribute to a true original who proves that style, talent, and staying power never go out of fashion. This is our way of saying thank you—for the laughs, the moments, and the legacy that continues to inspire (and yes, we’ll probably argue about our favorite roles along the way). Grab some popcorn and join us for a heartfelt, funny, and slightly nostalgic trip At The Movies. 🍿 SO EASY to WATCH & Subscribe: đŸ“ș YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Pafifer-pod [https://www.youtube.com/@Pafifer-pod] 🎧 RiversideFM: https://dongarydoin60.riverside.com/ [https://dongarydoin60.riverside.com/] Visit our website for all of our previous episodes, blog, and an easy way to leave a review and voicemail: Don and Gary PODPAGE WEBSITE- https://www.podpage.com/don-gary-doin-60/ [https://www.podpage.com/don-gary-doin-60/] #DonAndGaryDoin60 #AtTheMovies #DianeKeaton #MovieLovers #ClassicHollywood #FilmTalk #PodcastLife #AnnieHall #TheGodfather #BabyBoom #AsGoodAsItGets 🍿

S3E2 "Ain't Nobody Got Time For That"-Special Guest Marty Beene

In this episode, Don and Gary are back doing what they do best—talking over each other and pretending it’s a “structured podcast.” They bounce from their show, to a canceled TV series, to completely unnecessary life advice nobody asked for. Naturally, they take a swing at Hulu’s Mid Century Modern—because if there’s one thing they love more than podcasting, it’s critiquing shows they absolutely would’ve been great in. Then things take a turn
a coworker accidentally mixes up “necrophiliac” and “narcoleptic,” proving once and for all that vocabulary matters—and HR is probably listening. Just when you think it can’t get more chaotic, Marty Beene FINALLY gets out of “The Can” and joins the show.  The 'Boys' have been cheating little hints about Martys interview being buried somewhere in 'Podcast Purgatory' and now we finally get to see and hear the actual person. Marty talks about his engineering background, his passion for running, and how he somehow went from crunching numbers to coaching high school athletes (which requires WAY more endurance). From race stories to coaching highs and lows, Marty brings heart
 while Don and Gary bring the nonsense. It’s laughs, life stories, questionable facts, and the kind of friendship that only survives because no one is keeping score. #DonAndGaryDoin60 #PodcastLife #OutOfTheCan #MartyUnleashed #MidCenturyModern #HuluAndRoast #OldGuysTalking #RunningStories #CoachLife #PodcastComedy #Unfiltered  #Season3Chaos Website: https://www.podpage.com/don-gary-doin-60/ [https://www.podpage.com/don-gary-doin-60/] YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Pafifer-Pod [https://www.youtube.com/@Pafifer-Pod]   Apple:   https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/don-gary-doin-60/id1760331748 [https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/don-gary-doin-60/id1760331748] Spotify https://open.spotify.com/show/3oOfW69Dz8dVpVQnhAcdVP [https://open.spotify.com/show/3oOfW69Dz8dVpVQnhAcdVP] Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/donandgarydoin60?utm_source=qr&igsh=OTk0YzhjMDVIZA= [https://www.instagram.com/donandgarydoin60?utm_source=qr&igsh=OTk0YzhjMDVIZA=]

S3E1-"We'd Explain The Delay, But We Forgot Why" Blame Our Knees and Hips

Season 3: "So
did we just take the longest podcast hiatus in history? No worries, we’re back—and better (and shinier) than ever!"đŸŽ™ïžâœš Guess what? We’re back after a three-month nap—longer than most Netflix binging sessions. Turns out, life threw a few tantrums, but we’re still here, shined up and caffeinated. From surviving neighborhood vigil vibes to pondering if horses are smiling or plotting—our lives are as colorful as our podcast titles (which, by the way, are still a thing—thanks for asking). We’ve been gardening, baking (yes, Don finally nailed bagels without calling emergency services), and Gary's planning a Disneyland adventure that would make even kids jealous. And let’s not forget those deep thoughts—retirement’s looming, juice cleanses are in, and apparently, Gary can read horses’ minds now (spoiler: Don can’t). Moral of the story? Aging is an art, and we’re still mastering it—one laugh, one new hobby, one surprise at a time. Maybe that’s the point.
