It was part of who he was, and a place he dreamed of sharing with Oscar. Returning this year brought tears, laughter, memories, and a reminder that while grief never disappears, it can change over time. I reflect on carrying on the traditions Alex loved, the emotional moment Oscar received his Finnish passport, and why healing isn't about leaving someone behind.
