PowerHaus Podcast
In this episode of the PowerHaus Podcast, Gabrielle Caine sits down with Doug Meyers — business owner, real estate investor, acquisition entrepreneur, marathon runner, and owner of Final Touch Window Coverings in Vancouver, British Columbia. Doug shares how a teenage dream of making the NBA taught him how to reverse-engineer goals, build discipline, and commit to the daily work required to improve. That same mindset later carried him through mining engineering, real estate investing, house flipping, sales, coaching, and eventually acquiring an operating business after a two-year search. This conversation goes deep into identity, purpose, risk, leadership, business ownership, real estate investing, personal development, and what it means to live with intention. Doug opens up about leaving a career that looked successful on paper but felt deeply misaligned, building a real estate portfolio in his twenties, learning from passive investment losses, and stepping into the responsibility of leading an existing company with humility and care. Doug also shares the systems that help him stay grounded, including his weekly review process, his approach to long-term vision, and why checking in with yourself consistently can prevent you from drifting too far off course. This episode is for anyone who feels called to build something bigger, make a change, take a calculated risk, or stop waiting until they feel fully ready. Doug’s message is clear: you may never feel 100% prepared, but if you build the skills, plant the seeds, and trust yourself to figure out the rest, you can move forward anyway.
