U.S. and world news daily morning update for July 5th, 2025. Today's U.S. news covers the flood in Texas, President Trump signing the Big Beautiful bill, the Discovery Space Shuttle may be moved due to the Big Beautiful bill, a Republican representative is putting pressure for Trump's face to be on Mount Rushmore and another Republican representaitve deletes an offensive tweet from X. In world news Russia recognizes the Taliban as a government in Afghanistan, Hamas the and U.S. are working through a possible 60-day ceasefire, Israel has provided more displacement orders in Gaza, and they admitted to doing an assassination earlier this week in Beirut. And we end it with some good news, Oasis has performed for the first time in 16 years.

President Donald Trump announced his tariff plans against the world. In this episode I discuss some of those details. I also discuss some of the crazy things associated with the tariffs.

Many of Trump's leaders were caught sharing sensitive information about their attacks on Yemen's Houthi's. A journalist was accidentally added to a Signal chat group. Allegedly this chat had 18 members of Trump's leaders discussing sensitive material. Some of the alleged people were Pete Hegseth, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and the National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.

This podcast covers three topics today. Trump's ICE is continuing to pick up people it shouldn't. The criteria seems to be to pick any green card holder and student visa person who is pro-Palestinian. And also picking up anyone who speaks Spanish as a first language. Pete Hegeth continues to delete history related to any minority. The Navajo Code Talkers and the Tuskegee Airmen are some of the latest victims to his racism.  Israel is back to detroying Gaza and killing innocent civilians in high numbers again. More than 1100 casualties in 72 hours. 70% of  those being women and children.

Norman Finkelstein, a well known expert on Gaza and the West Bank is speaking at an event in Washington, DC. Norman Finkelstein is a professor and his parents are survivors of the Holocaust. He has been speaking out for the Palestinians for decades based on his research and evidence against the Israeli government.  In this event he discusses the recent history of Gaza and the effect of it around the world. He also discusses Gaza's future in relation to President Trump.
