Descripción

The Book of Proverbs is not a random collection of sayings. It is a father sitting down with his children and saying, “Let me show you how life really works.” In many ways, Proverbs functions like a “wind tunnel” for life—allowing us to test our decisions before we live with their consequences. Running beneath every proverb is this foundational truth: That “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.” (Proverbs 1:7)  This summer, we’re calling this series A Word to the Wise. Not because we assume we’ve arrived, but because we all need it. A word of wisdom. A word of correction. A word of direction for the lives we’re actually living right now. We will focus on eight themes that shape real life helping us apply God’s truth to our hearts, our words, our money, our marriages, our parenting, our anxiety, our compassion, our forgiveness, our friendships, and our daily decisions. Our goal isn’t just to learn Proverbs. Our goal is to live it.
