Global Economic Press
In this episode of Global Economic Press, Alex Brady discusses an exciting development in the realm of remote work and artificial intelligence. Virtual Latinos, a prominent recruitment agency focusing on Latin American remote talent, has announced the launch of the second cohort of its AI Performance Lab, an AI bootcamp offered through Virtual Latinos Academy. The first cohort, which took place in May, successfully graduated 37 virtual professionals from 19 countries, highlighting the extensive reach of the company's community and the evolving nature of the modern workplace. The second cohort is scheduled to run from July 6th to July 10th, 2026, with a graduation event on July 17th. This intensive, week-long program is designed to train Virtual Assistants in AI literacy and prompt engineering, enabling them to transform everyday tasks into structured, AI-powered workflows. The AI Performance Lab is offered at no cost to virtual professionals within the Virtual Latinos community, whether they are currently employed or seeking employment. The program includes five live, hands-on sessions, a dedicated virtual classroom, and an exclusive AI learning companion named GuIA, which supports students throughout the experience. Participants will receive an official Virtual Latinos Academy Certificate and digital badge upon completion. Beyond technical skills, the initiative aims to have a social impact by providing personalized support sessions to job-seeking professionals, enhancing their readiness and confidence for future opportunities. This bootcamp is the first level of a three-part AI Specialization Pathway, which will further develop into AI workflow automation and AI agents.
