The vacuum in you, which these addictions seek to satisfy but fail to, can only be filled by the experience of purpose fulfillment. The vacuum was created to be filled by the pursuit of your life assignment and could only be filled by that. Consciously respond to those repeated longing for that ‘thing’ by drowning and burying yourself in your purpose.

Validating Convictions

Convictions must agree with the context of the Scripture. A conviction that takes you farther from God has failed the test either wholly or partially. The unreliability of time as a validator is that true convictions can also fizzle out with time either due to staying away from God or procrastination/disobedience on the part of the individual.

Attitude And Revelation

There is this attitude of ‘I know what is there’ when the eternal teacher points our attention to what he wants to reveal at any particular time. There is the feeling of knowing already everything that can be said of that topic/portion of the scripture. However, the teacher calling your attention to it suggests there are still things you do not know, which he is ready to show you.

Become The Influence

You know the difference when you lick salt and a substance coated with salt. One has a being and the other has a doing. ‘Doing influence’ is just salt coating. We are to be salts and not salt coated though we are in a state in our world where we settle for coating.

Worry Is More Tasking Than Praying

Worrying, weeping and sorrowing are tasking. Worse still, they do not change the situation but compound it. However, prayer that will get the job done is less tasking. Praying eases the burden off you and transfers them to God.
