Descripción

In this honest and vulnerable conversation, I'm sharing something I've been struggling with lately: feeling tired. Not just physically tired, but emotionally, mentally, and spiritually drained. As moms, caregivers, healers, and people who are always showing up for everyone else, we often convince ourselves that we have to keep pushing through no matter what. We wear exhaustion like a badge of honor and guilt ourselves whenever we need a break. But what if rest isn't weakness? What if rest is actually part of the healing? In this episode, I open up about the pressure to always be strong, the guilt that can come with slowing down, and the lies we've been taught about what strength really looks like. For so many years, I believed that strong people don't cry, don't ask for help, and don't need rest. The truth? Real strength is allowing yourself to be human. Together, we'll talk about: ✨ Why rest is a necessary part of healing, not something you have to earn ✨ How to stop judging yourself for feeling tired or overwhelmed ✨ The importance of honoring your emotions instead of pushing them away ✨ Building trust with yourself by keeping small promises to yourself ✨ Letting go of control and leaning into faith during difficult seasons ✨ Why healing isn't a straight line and how to give yourself grace along the way If you're in a season where life feels heavy, where you're doing your best just to make it through the day, I want you to know this: you are not failing. You are not weak. You are not behind. You are healing. And sometimes healing looks like resting. Sometimes healing looks like crying. Sometimes healing looks like taking a step back so you can keep moving forward. So consider this your permission slip to slow down, take a deep breath, and give yourself the same compassion you so freely give to everyone else. Your story isn't over. God isn't finished with you yet. The hard chapters are not the whole story, and your best days are still ahead. Thank you for allowing me to walk alongside you on this journey. Learning to live life

Have you ever felt guilty for enjoying your life while you're still healing? For the longest time, I believed that healing meant constantly focusing on my pain, my trauma, and everything I needed to work through. Somewhere along the way, I convinced myself that I didn't deserve happiness until I was "fully healed." But the truth is, healing isn't a destination we arrive at—it's a lifelong journey. And while we're healing, we're still meant to live. In this episode, I'm sharing a very real and honest conversation about the guilt that can show up when life starts feeling good again. The guilt of laughing after heartbreak. The guilt of finding peace after chaos. The guilt of moving forward when parts of you are still hurting. I've learned that healing doesn't require us to stay stuck in our wounds. We don't have to prove our pain by carrying it forever. We can honor what we've been through while also embracing joy, creating new memories, and allowing ourselves to experience the beauty that's happening right now. I'll share pieces of my own healing journey, including how therapies like EMDR have helped me process painful memories, and why I've realized that healing isn't about living in the past—it's about creating space for peace, growth, love, and freedom in the present. In this episode, we'll talk about: ✨ Why so many of us feel guilty for being happy while we're healing ✨ The difference between honoring your pain and living in it ✨ How self-compassion can transform your healing journey ✨ Why joy and healing can coexist ✨ Learning to celebrate your growth without waiting to be "fixed" ✨ Practical ways to stay present and embrace the life you're living today If you've ever felt like you need to earn your happiness, this conversation is for you. You are allowed to heal and laugh. You are allowed to heal and dream. You are allowed to heal and live. Your trauma is part of your story, but it doesn't have to be the whole story. I hope this episode reminds you that you don't have to wait until you're completely healed to start enjoying your life. The life you're working so hard to create is happening right now. 🎙️ Connect with me: Instagram: @healingmommapodcast Facebook: Healing Momma Podcast #HealingJourney #HealingMommaPodcast #SelfHealing #MentalHealthAwareness #TraumaHealing #EMDRTherapy #PersonalGrowth #SelfCompassion #HealingAndGrowth #MindsetShift #EmotionalHealing #InnerHealing #HealingInProgress #JoyInTheJourney #WomenWhoHeal #HealingAfterTrauma #GrowthMindset #SelfWorth #HealingCommunity #PodcastForWomen

Does Gods Grace Run Out?

You might have been taught that God’s grace has a limit — that at some point it runs out when you mess up too many times. But what if that’s not true at all? In this episode of Healing Momma Podcast, Valerie gets real about a belief many of us quietly carry: that we have to earn God’s love, or somehow stay “worthy” of it. She gently challenges that idea and points us back to something simpler and more freeing — grace doesn’t expire, and it doesn’t run dry. This conversation digs into how fear-based messaging can distort the way we see God, ourselves, and even our healing journey. When grace is misunderstood, it can leave us feeling like we’re constantly behind, never enough, and always trying to catch up to love that was never meant to be earned in the first place. Valerie shares personal reflections and honest moments of unlearning, reminding us that unconditional love isn’t just a comforting idea — it’s transformative. You don’t have to perform for grace. You don’t have to qualify for mercy. It’s already here, already yours. We also break down the difference between grace, mercy, and blessings in a way that brings clarity instead of confusion, and shifts the focus from limitation to abundance. Because at its core, this isn’t a message about religion — it’s about remembering the truth of love that doesn’t give up on you. #HealingMommaPodcast #ValerieHealingMama #FaithJourney #GodsGrace #UnconditionalLove #SpiritualHealing #FaithAndHealing #ReligiousDeconstruction #InnerHealing #HealingJourney #GraceNotEarned #ChristianPodcast #SpiritualGrowth #MindsetShift #SelfWorth #DivineLove #FaithTalk #HealingFromWithin

Keep Me Different

Have you ever felt like healing is really a journey of unbecoming? Unbecoming the survival mode. Unbecoming the people-pleasing. Unbecoming the version of yourself that was built from pain, trauma, and expectations that were never meant for you to carry in the first place. If so, this episode is for you. In this raw and deeply personal conversation, Val from the Healing Momma Podcast opens up about what it’s been like navigating life at 36 while finally discovering who she truly is beneath the trauma, the titles, and the masks she wore for years just to survive. This episode isn’t about having it all figured out — it’s about the messy, emotional, beautiful process of healing from the inside out. Val shares the daily inner battle between the old version of herself and the woman she’s becoming through faith, surrender, self-awareness, and healing. She talks honestly about what it feels like to outgrow old mindsets, relationships, and patterns while learning to embrace being different instead of shrinking herself to fit in. In this episode, you’ll hear about: • The powerful prayer, “Keep me different, God,” and how it’s transformed Val’s healing journey • Learning to stop apologizing for being the odd one out • The importance of reconnecting with your inner child and your authentic self • How trauma can shape our identities without us even realizing it • Practical ways to start releasing emotional baggage and unhealthy patterns • Why embracing your uniqueness is one of the greatest forms of healing This episode is for the person who feels lost, stuck between who they used to be and who they’re becoming. For the one trying to heal while still carrying the weight of their past. And for anyone who’s ever felt misunderstood because they chose growth over comfort. Healing isn’t always pretty, and growth can feel lonely at times — but there is beauty in becoming who God truly created you to be. So if you’re in a season of transformation, surrender, and self-discovery, press play and take this journey with Val. Your authenticity is not a flaw — it’s your power. #HealingMommaPodcast #HealingJourney #InnerHealing #SelfDiscovery #FaithAndHealing #TraumaHealing #MentalHealthAwareness #PersonalGrowth #HealingFromTrauma #Authenticity #SelfWorth #InnerChildHealing #WomenWhoHeal #HealingInProgress #GodsPlan #HealingThroughFaith
