Words I Still Carry

Father’s Day always makes me reflect on the people who have shaped me, and for this episode, I wanted to take some time to honor my dad. Instead of telling stories or sharing memories, I’m reflecting on three quotes he has said to me over the years that have had a lasting impact on how I see myself, my dreams, and the way I move through life. “The sky isn’t the limit, it’s only the beginning.” “Rob the grave of your dreams.” “Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and loved more than you know.” These are more than just words. They are lessons that have challenged me to dream bigger, keep going when life gets hard, trust myself, and remember who I am when doubt tries to convince me otherwise. In this episode, I reflect on the meaning behind these quotes, how they’ve shown up throughout different seasons of my life, and why I still carry them with me today. What I Found In the Quiet

As we come to the end of our 75 Day Challenge, I wanted to take a moment to pause and reflect before rushing to the finish line. Because sometimes we're so focused on getting through something that we never stop to see what it gave us. In this episode, I'm sharing some of the biggest lessons and revelations I've experienced throughout these past 75 days. Not the accomplishments, not the checklist, but the things that were quietly happening beneath the surface. One of the biggest things I learned was that journaling isn't just about getting your thoughts out—it's also about taking the time to go back and reflect on them. Reading through my journal entries showed me something I couldn't see day to day: evidence of growth, joy, faith, courage, and progress that I had overlooked while simply trying to get through life. I realized that life has a way of making us feel like we're standing still, even when we're growing. The second lesson came through creating intentional space for God without expectations. Not asking for answers. Not looking for a sign. Just making room for His presence in the everyday moments of life. And if I'm being honest, the silence wasn't always comfortable. But somewhere in that quiet, I discovered that God's silence never meant His absence. This episode is a reflection on growth, faith, gratitude, and learning to slow down long enough to see what has been there all along. When the Light Came Back

There was a time in my life when I thought I was living… but looking back, I realize I was surviving. Not because I was falling apart or completely disconnected from reality. In fact, from the outside looking in, I was functioning. I was showing up. I was handling responsibilities. I was doing what needed to be done. But somewhere along the way, I stopped feeling fully connected to my life. The laughter wasn't quite reaching me. The joy felt distant. The days started blending together, and I found myself on a hamster wheel of simply trying to make it to tomorrow. It wasn't intentional. It wasn't something that happened overnight. I had been in survival mode for so long that it became normal. In this episode, I'm reflecting on what it looked like to slowly come out of that season and realize that many of the things we've talked about in previous episodes—control, unforgiveness, hurt, fear, and carrying burdens that were never mine to carry—were all feeding into that survival mindset. I share how learning to be present, paying attention again, and allowing myself to actually feel instead of performing feelings began to change things. Not overnight, but little by little. Most importantly, I talk about how God became the center of that shift. For a long time, there was so much noise, chaos, pressure, and distraction pulling me in every direction that I couldn't see what was happening. But now I can look back and recognize that every lesson, every challenge, every moment of growth was leading me back to Him. God became my anchor. That doesn't mean life suddenly became easy. It doesn't mean the problems disappeared or that I stopped having questions. Life is still life. The difference is that I'm no longer trying to carry it all by myself. I'm no longer excluding God from the day-to-day moments of my life. Operation: Go Outside

This episode is a little lighter, a little more playful, and honestly… a reminder to myself to actually practice what I preach. For so long, life felt heavy, serious, structured, and honestly a little survival-mode coded. And while healing, growth, and self-work are all important, I’m realizing that joy matters too. So this summer? We’re going outside 😭 In this episode, I’m sharing my summer bucket list—things I’ve never done, things I haven’t done in years, random adventures, experiences that push me outside of my comfort zone, and moments that simply sound fun. From horseback riding and waterfall hikes to pool days, solo adventures, random experiences, and saying yes to life a little more… this episode is really about learning to enjoy life again. Not every moment has to be deep.  Not everything has to be productive.  Sometimes healing looks like laughter, fresh air, trying something new, and allowing yourself to fully experience joy without guilt. They're Just Girl Too

In this episode, I’m honoring both of my moms. The one who gave birth to me… and the one who stepped in and chose to be my mom when she didn’t have to. And if I’m being honest, my relationships with both of them have come with different layers, emotions, lessons, and moments of healing. For a long time, I only saw things through my own perspective—through my hurt, my confusion, and the experiences I had to grow through. And those feelings were real. They still are. But as I’ve gotten older, healed, and started navigating life as a woman myself… I’ve gained a different kind of understanding. I’ve started to see them not just as “moms,” but as women. Women who were experiencing life for the first time too. Women carrying responsibilities, pressures, insecurities, sacrifices, expectations, and emotions that I couldn’t fully understand until I started facing some of those same things myself. This episode isn’t about pretending everything was perfect or dismissing my own experiences. It’s about acknowledging that both truths can exist at the same time. My feelings were valid.  And so were theirs. I talk about the complicated emotions surrounding divorce, abandonment, womanhood, motherhood, stepping into a role that wasn’t originally yours, and the grace that comes from finally seeing people fully. Because understanding them differently didn’t erase my feelings… It helped me heal them. And ultimately, this episode is a thank you. To the women who shaped me, protected me, loved me, sacrificed for me, and helped make me who I am—even in ways I couldn’t fully recognize at the time.
