Morning Mantra: "What we see reflected in others depends on the clarity of the window through which we look." Whatever you see when you evaluate other people, is a projection of what is inside of you. In order to recognize something in others, you must first have it within yourself. More often than not, what we dislike in others are the very things we do not like in ourselves. Trying to run away from this by blaming others, will only prolong the problem and make it worse. Facing and accepting is the only way to change. The good news is that this “mirror” has a positive side to it. The inspiring, uplifting things you see in other people, are in you as well. When you recognize things like compassion, beauty, caring and affection, you’re also seeing a projection of yourself. You see these things because they are a part of you, you recognize them. The source of your thoughts and feelings about other people, about things, about situations, is you. When you see darkness, it is your darkness. When you see beauty, it is your own beauty.
