It's says nothing about you but a whole lot about them. Why is it we want to automatically think something is done because of who we are instead of who THEY are? You are not the one judging and being mean. So let them. Don't react to something unless you know for certain it is being said or done on purpose. Then respond with curiosity as to why they feel this way. Communicate with the intention of understanding not retaliation. Be the Energy You Seek
Morning Mantra: "In the long run, the sharpest weapon of all is a kind and gentle spirit." This quote by Anne Frank is very appropriate right now with all the chaos and fear being created in our world. It can make you feel hopeless, scared and angry. Remember- energy is everything. It spreads outward from everyone that is feeling so it's important to spread kindness, calm, courage and faith. Each time you do, it builds on what's being spread by other kind, loving souls. If you are mad, look at the root of your feelings- is it the injustice in the world or are you joining the anger generated by those that are full of hate? Getting mad is a healthy response to cruelty but it must be followed by action and purpose or it will just add volume to the energy from the haters. Seek outlets. Seek other people that want peace. Seek inner calm wherever you can. Stay rooted in love. Stay rooted in the truth. Go Little

The Gifts from Nature
Morning Mantra: "Nature is the purest portal to inner peace." Before Horse Hippie I had a shop called Back to Nature. It was a place that honored the role of nature in my life. It was a reflection of my love for the earth, a love instilled in me by my mother. My mother taught me to see the beauty but also all of the ways nature is such a healer. Just think about all she offers to us: ~Watching a sunset or sunrise can regulate your circadian rhythm and calm your mind. ~Walking in a forest can boost your immunity. ~Listening to birdsong can lower anxiety and improve focus. ~The negative ions in ocean air can elevate your mood and energy. ~The scent of flowers boosts dopamine and serotonin which relieves stress. ~Sunlight provides vitamin D, uplifts moods and regulates sleep. ~The scent of snow contains ozone notes which refresh and clear the mind. ~Mountain views enhance a sense of awe and wonder. Yet, with all these benefits, how often do we choose to let her heal us? The next time you feel stress- hug a tree, walk barefoot in the grass, just sit and watch the sunset or listen to the birds.
