Let Go of Hate

Morning Mantra: "Hate is heavy. Let it go."  Hate has caused a lot of problems in this world, but hasn't solved a single one. It's a heavy burden to carry in your heart.  It clouds the light of love that lives there. It hurts you more than the object of your distain, heck, most of the time they aren't even aware of your feelings. Even if they are the most damaged, hurtful, and hateful being on Earth, hating them will consume you too.  Don't let outside sources convince you it's okay to hate someone.  Erase that emotion, and all thoughts that create it, from your mind and heart.  Just decide to let it go. Don't waste your precious time hating people, use that energy to love. You CAN help

Morning Mantra: "I cannot do all the good that the world needs, but the world needs all the good I can do."  Great opportunities to help others are out there but feel unattainable to most people, but small ones surround us everyday.  I see these huge fundraisers for worthy causes and I want to help but always thought what I can offer won't matter.  Then one day I realized my commitment to $10 a month is something I can afford and something they can count on.   It changed the way I look at helping.  I can't pay someone's hospital bill but I can fix a meal or two for when they come home.  I can't buy someone a car but I can offer a ride. I can't feed all the horses at a rescue but I can volunteer a few hours a week. Don't think your small contributions don't matter. New Wisdom

Morning Mantra: "Don't let new wisdom lead you to criticize your past decisions." Cut yourself some slack.  You did the best you could with what you knew at the time. Learning more information shouldn't make you feel bad about the choices you made before. If you regret some of the decisions you made in the past, don’t be so hard on yourself. At the time, you did your best with the knowledge that you had. At the time, you did your best with the experiences that you’ve had.  Some of your decisions might’ve been coping skills made when you didn’t know what you know today. If you were to make those decisions with the wisdom you have now, you might have made a different choice.  So forgive yourself. Growth Looks Different as You Age
