in the book, “the greatest power in the universe” by uell andersen, he led a goal achievement seminar with 100 salespeople. they concentrated on all the things they wanted to get done OR SEE done sometime in the future, whether it was 2 hours from now, let alone 2 years from now... the book said, you couldn’t IMAGINE the CONSTERNATION (def. sudden worry, confusion, or distress) that it caused these folks. they sat there with their pencils, pens, sweating and just lost - this cause of mental paralysis was their feeling that they were being required to predict the future instead of just making it up. 2 days left until this special is gone! (this goes for monthly and yearly) - celebrating 43 years on this side of time (my birthday was june 27th!) the fact that anyone could possibly make their own future was so foreign to them. they thought an artist drawing a painting or a composer making a song in comparison to them writing goals was so unfair because they were being challenged to make up something "that was real". the digitalleadher substack is a reader-supported publication.
