86. Frog Princes and Space Zombies w Regan WH Macauley and Tamara Botting (authors of Peter Little Wing and Unfrogged)

Regan W. H. Macaulay is a multi-award-winning author of novels, short stories, children’s literature, and scripts. Writing is her passion, but she’s also a producer and director of theatre, film, and television (Triple Take Productions). She is an animal enthusiast as well, which led her to become a Certified Canine and Feline Massage Therapist (Kurī K9 Massage). As an author, Regan spins fun-filled tales with whimsical characters that charm and delight readers. Her carefully crafted narratives for young readers offer new vocabulary and gentle wisdom. Each adventure portrays unique characters and weaves in teachable moments. Regan hails from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where she lives with her husband Kevin, Chihuahua Raxl, Siamese cat Jacobi (aka Jack), and an assortment of amphibians, fish, mollusks, and crustaceans.Tamara Botting is a writer who lives in Ontario, Canada. In a lot of ways, she's like a house cat, in that she likes to play with yarn, take naps, and drink too much coffee (OK, it's not a perfect comparison). Tamara has been a professional writer for around 20 years, working as a community journalist, freelance writer, editor, communications coordinator, and author. In that time, she's won a number of awards (provincial, national and one international) for her writings and photography. Her first book, Unfrogged, was published in 2017, the same year as Canada's sesquicentennial. Since then, she's added three more to the roster (Pants, Big Bother Brother, and Spoiled Rotten), and her fifth book, Super Slippy Slidey Socks, will be the next one to hit the shelves. Regan's links: Websites: https://www.reganwhmacaulay.com/ [https://www.reganwhmacaulay.com/], https://tripletakeproductions.weebly.com/ [https://tripletakeproductions.weebly.com/] TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@reganmacaulay [https://www.tiktok.com/@reganmacaulay]  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/reganw.h.macaulay/ [https://www.instagram.com/reganw.h.macaulay/]  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/regan.macaulay/ [https://www.facebook.com/regan.macaulay/]  YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCj7V0ndozKJlL4wBr4oHWlQ [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCj7V0ndozKJlL4wBr4oHWlQ], https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWtJuSgTEqepHXlyNd1_ayg/videos [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWtJuSgTEqepHXlyNd1_ayg/videos], https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2o_DjC3ddwZLmAFqoul4UA/videos [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2o_DjC3ddwZLmAFqoul4UA/videos]  Upcoming Events: https://www.reganwhmacaulay.com/upcoming-events.html [https://www.reganwhmacaulay.com/upcoming-events.html]  Tamara's links Websites: https://pandamoniumpublishing.com/?s=tamara+botting&post_type=product [https://pandamoniumpublishing.com/?s=tamara+botting&post_type=product] TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@pandamoniumpublishing [https://www.tiktok.com/@pandamoniumpublishing] Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pandamonium_publishing_house8/ [https://www.instagram.com/pandamonium_publishing_house8/] Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pandamoniumpublishing/ [https://www.facebook.com/pandamoniumpublishing/] YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@pandamoniumpublishinghouse3422 [https://www.youtube.com/@pandamoniumpublishinghouse3422] Tamara reading at 38:15 Regan reading at 1:16:00 JasonShannon is an indie Canadian author of science fiction and more. 85. Beware the Wendigo w/ Alex Tilley (author of Meshkwadoon Book 1)

Alex Tilley writes fiction that wanders the borderlands between folk horror, magical realism, dark fantasy, and the psychological. His books include Meshkwadoon Books 1 and 2, the novella Mr. Strong, and the forthcoming Sefira’s Gloom. Before self-publishing, he spent years devouring everything from The Lord of the Rings to Shakespeare, Anne Rice, poetry, and Jane Austen. He was in the Canadian Armed Forces for five years, where he earned a humanities degree while working full-time in his trade. He wrote as a hobby when he was in my teens, but the belief that he could write a full book didn't come to him until 2019. When he’s not writing, he’s usually buried in research on mythology, religion, occult traditions, and the supernatural. Today we are mostly discussing Meskkwadoon, Book 1, which I had the opportunity to read in audiobook, available on Audible. Spoiler discussion begins at timestamp 1:05:45 Jason Shannon is an indie Canadian author of science fiction and more. His seventh novel, Tiger Blues, is available now: “A plucky crew of mercenaries must keep a doomsday weapon from the Maoists in alt-history 1948 Tibet.” Taming the Laser Leopard Coming soon Upcoming events: Manitoulin Island Comiccon June 13 Espanola Comiccon June 14 Picton Comiccon June 28 SaultCon Friday July 10, 3pm-8pm Saturday July 11, 11am-8pm Sunday, July 12, 11am-4pm Flamborough Book Fair at the West Avenue Cider House July 26 Blueberry Blast Festival in Nipigon August 14, 15, 16 Cogs and Clockwork Steampunk Festival in Fergus, Ontario September 12/13 Can*Con, October 16-18 Follow my social media @harujinshounds
