Descripción

In this episode, I’m joined by my two wonderful friends as guests to talk about what it’s like to have a multicultural background—growing up speaking multiple languages and living in different countries. It was also my first time recording in a professional podcast studio, and to celebrate my friend Astrid’s first visit to South Korea, I thought it would be a memorable experience for her to record a podcast here with us. It was a very special moment for all three of us to openly share our thoughts and experiences of growing up with diverse, multicultural backgrounds. Thank you so much for listening, and I hope you’ll come back next week too! :D

The importance of being vulnerable

In the book ( by Garbor Maté) I’m reading recently, it talked about the reason why people should be vulnerable and why it’s essential to let your kids vulnerable. Also letting them know how to handle that moment of being vulnerable. Basically it conversely emphasis a disastrous outcome of if you don’t let your kid to be vulnerable, “they will cease to relate to life as infinite possibility, to themselves as boundless potential, and to the world as a welcoming and nurturing arena for their self-expression”  and by reading this part, I realised that every greatest growth and greatest improvement came from me accepting the fact that I’m feeling and AM vulnerable and made an action to rectify and resolve the current situation where I felt vulnerable. Because like the book says, “nothing in Nature ‘becomes itself’ without being vulnerable“
