Descripción

Have you ever sat down to lunch at your favorite spot, enjoyed the same great food and service you always have — and then nearly fallen out of your chair when the bill arrived? That's what happened to Mark recently, and it got him thinking about the sneaky nature of slow change. In this episode of Mondays with Mark, he walks us through how gradual shifts — inflation, a few extra pounds, the passage of time — can reshape our habits and priorities before we even notice. And nowhere is that more true than in our giving to the church. With church budgets feeling the same inflationary pressures as our own households, Mark brings a timely and encouraging word: giving isn't an optional expense, it's an eternal investment. He points us to 2 Corinthians 9 and Proverbs 11:24 and reminds us that you simply cannot out-give God.

Mondays with Mark - The 3-Second Question That Could Change Someone's Eternity

How many definitions does the word "love" have? More than you'd think — and that's exactly where Mark starts this week. Because before we can talk about what it means to truly love someone, we have to clear away the noise around a word that gets attached to everything from pizza to pets to people. In this episode of Mondays with Mark, Mark works through some of the most powerful love passages in Scripture — Jesus pointedly asking Peter three times if he loves Him in John 21, the steadfast love of Proverbs 17:17, and the gold standard of John 15:13 — before landing on a personal challenge he calls The Love Question. The question is simple: "I think I know where you stand, but tell me — where do you stand with Jesus?" Mark walks through why that question is one of the most significant things you can say to someone you care about, how to read their response, and how to position yourself — in attitude, setting, and tone — to ask it well. You have nothing to lose. They have everything to gain.
