Should we let children get bored?

With school summer holidays in full swing, many parents are struggling day-to-day to keep their children entertained. While camps are settling down and sun holidays are coming to an end, we are starting to hear the dreaded phrase: “I’m bored”... What does it mean for our children when they are bored? Should we try everything to keep them entertained or is it okay to allow boredom to strike and encourage children to use their imagination to find entertainment themselves? Joining guest host Anna Daly to discuss is Consulting Psychologist and clinical hypnotherapist from D4 Clinic, Jason O’Callaghan, Editor of Cork Beo and father Joe O’Shea, Zoo Director with The National Reptile Zoo James Hennessy, Averil Sheenan from Care-A-Lot Childcare and more.
