Complex kids need more than symptom management. In this episode, we speak with Dr. James Neuenschwander about root-cause medicine, the gut-brain-immune axis, and why chronic illness often reflects deeper patterns involving inflammation, toxicity, stress, and the cell danger response. We also explore how MAPS is helping practitioners rethink care for children and adults with complex needs. - - - - - About the Guest: Dr. James Neuenschwander, affectionately known as "Dr. Neu," is a dual board-certified physician in Emergency and Integrative Medicine with more than 30 years of clinical experience. He is the founder of the Bio Energy Medical Center in Ann Arbor and the current President of the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (MAPS). Dr. Neuenschwander specializes in the gut-brain-immune axis and helps patients with complex chronic conditions, including neurodevelopmental disorders, chronic infections like Lyme and mold illness, and immune dysregulation, by treating the body as a whole, interconnected system. - - - - - Social Handles: Website: https://www.bioenergymedicalcenter.com [https://www.bioenergymedicalcenter.com] - - - - - Medical Academy of Pediatrics & Special Needs Website: https://www.medmaps.org/ [https://www.medmaps.org/] Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MAPSNFP [https://www.facebook.com/MAPSNFP] Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/medmapsofficial/ [https://www.instagram.com/medmapsofficial/] LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/maps-medical [https://www.linkedin.com/in/maps-medical] TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@medmaps.org [https://www.tiktok.com/@medmaps.org] - - - - - PODCAST Thank you for listening. EMF Isn’t the Enemy: Electromagnetic Pollution Is

What if the question isn’t whether electromagnetic fields are harmful, but whether modern environments have fundamentally altered the electromagnetic signals our biology evolved alongside? In this episode, MAPS Executive Director, Honey Rinicella, speaks with Joaquín Machado, a materials scientist, inventor, and internationally recognized researcher in bioelectromagnetics, quantum biology, and applied nanomagnetism.  Over the past two decades, Joaquín has investigated how artificial electromagnetic environments may influence human physiology, including work related to electromagnetic hypersensitivity and environmental health. His work has earned international recognition, including an Edison Award in Nanotechnology, a Gold Medal at the Silicon Valley Invention Festival, and the International Prize from the House of Geneva. In this episode, they discuss: • The difference between electromagnetic fields (EMF) and electromagnetic pollution • How electrical exposures and wireless exposures affect the environment differently • Why signal polarization may be more biologically relevant than signal intensity alone • The potential impact of electromagnetic pollution on sleep, circadian biology, nervous system function, and chronic health conditions • The concept of electromagnetic hygiene and practical strategies for reducing environmental electromagnetic burden • Why filtering electromagnetic noise may be preferable to shielding or blocking EMF altogether About Joaquín Machado Joaquín Machado is a materials scientist, inventor, and EMF researcher with more than two decades of experience in bioelectromagnetics, quantum biology, and applied nanomagnetism. He is the founder of the NOXTAK Group and inventor of SPIRO® technology.  Links These are the kind of conversations we’re having at every MAPS clinician conference. How Soil Health and Food Quality Shape Children's Neurological Health

Food is not separate from pediatric brain health. In this episode, we speak with Dr. John Gaitanis about GMOs, glyphosate, soil health, and why nutrition belongs in the conversation around chronic pediatric conditions. We explore the gut-brain connection, pesticide exposure, ultra-processed foods, and practical ways families can make cleaner, more intentional food choices. - - - - - About the Guest: Dr. John Gaitanis is the Director of Child Neurology at Brown University Health's Hasbro Children's Hospital and an Associate Professor at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Multi-board certified and Ivy League-trained, with clinical fellowships at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Gaitanis is a leading authority on pediatric epilepsy, neurodevelopmental disorders, and advanced EEG technology. With more than two decades of clinical leadership, his research and practice sit at the forefront of pediatric neuroscience and therapeutic innovation. - - - - - John Gaitanis, MD Website: https://www.medmaps.org/faculty/john-gaitanis [https://www.medmaps.org/faculty/john-gaitanis] - - - - - Medical Academy of Pediatrics & Special Needs Website: https://www.medmaps.org/ [https://www.medmaps.org/] Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MAPSNFP [https://www.facebook.com/MAPSNFP] Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/medmapsofficial/ [https://www.instagram.com/medmapsofficial/] LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/maps-medical [https://www.linkedin.com/in/maps-medical] TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@medmaps.org [https://www.tiktok.com/@medmaps.org] - - - - - PODCAST Thank you for listening.
