07/12/26 Sermon: "The God Who is Everywhere" (Psalm 139, Pt. 2)

Psalm 139 Part 2: The God Who is Everywhere Psalm 139:7-12 | Week 2 of 4: Psalm 139    Following last week's look at the God who fully knows us, this message explores David's question: "Where can I go from your Spirit?" Through three extremes: the heights of heaven, the depths of the sea, and the darkness of hiding. David discovers there is nowhere anxiety, suffering, or shame can take us that God has not already gone before us. Weaving in Jonah's flight to Tarshish and the story of Jesus seeking out the Samaritan woman at the well, the sermon lands on verse 10's tender promise: "Your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast." Whether we're wrestling with fear of the future, isolation in dark seasons, or shame that makes us want to hide, God isn't waiting for us to find our way back, He's already pursuing us with grace. The message closes reflectively, inviting the congregation to simply rest in being held and pursued.

In The God Who Knows Me, we will explore what it means to be completely known by a God who loves you not for your performance, but for who you really are. Drawing from Psalm 139:1-6 and the hope-filled promise of Jeremiah 29:11-14, this message is an invitation to stop hiding and start seeking, because the God who knows you completely is waiting to be found. Small But Mighty Part 3: Jesus and His Disciples.  1 Corinthians 1:26-29 Pastor Doug Allen June 28th, 2026   We wrap up our Small But Mighty series this Sunday with what may be the most powerful installment yet. Over the past two weeks we have seen how God used Gideon and his tiny army of 300, and David and his band of unlikely mighty men, to accomplish extraordinary things. This week we bring that same theme right into the New Testament and discover that God's pattern of choosing the small and overlooked reaches its ultimate expression in Jesus Christ Himself. Born in Bethlehem, a small, easy-to-overlook town.    Jesus would grow up and hand His world-changing mission to a small band of ordinary, unschooled fishermen. Men like Peter, who failed spectacularly, yet was graciously restored and went on to build the church of Jesus Christ. And a little boy whose small lunch, freely offered, fed thousands. The message is simple and powerful:  God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called. What He is looking for is not your ability, it is your availability. Join us this Sunday as we close the series with a challenge to stop waiting until you feel ready, and instead take a step of faith and say — Yes, Lord. Use me.    I love y’all doug
