Descripción

Some people treat “I have MS” like breaking news about their own life and that tells you everything you need to know. We sit down with Laura Carriello, holistic health coach and founder of Evotion Reset, to talk about dating with multiple sclerosis and why chronic illness doesn’t make you “harder to love,” it makes your standards clearer and your boundaries louder. We discuss dating questions people avoid: When do you disclose a chronic illness? What happens when you share too early? Laura explains why trust comes before disclosure, what supportive partners actually do, and the mindset shift from “pick me” to “I’m the chooser.” You’ll also hear her best tool for staying hopeful, plus the non-negotiables that protect your peace. Key Topics  * Living with MS for 25 years and thriving * * When and how to disclose a chronic illness in dating * * Building confidence and boundaries after diagnosis * * Strategies for healthy communication and trust in relationships About Laura Laura Cariello, M.Ed., CHHC, is a certified holistic health coach and founder of Evocean RESET™, a transformational method helping women with autoimmune conditions regulate their nervous systems and reclaim their energy. Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at 21, Laura has spent over two decades navigating ambition, identity, and dating with a chronic illness. She speaks candidly about disclosure, confidence, attraction, and the emotional resilience required to date from self-worth instead of fear. She challenges the quiet narrative that women with chronic illness should feel “lucky” to be chosen. A diagnosis is not a warning label — and the right partner won’t need convincing. Through her work, Laura helps women stop shrinking because of their condition and start showing up fully in health, in business, and in love. Ep. 32 How Different Are Women’s Rights Around The World?

A woman shouldn’t have to prove her worth to get basic documents, basic health care, or basic safety, yet that’s the reality for many women in Nepal. We’re joined by Parina Subba Limbu, a Kathmandu-based activist with over 20 years of experience and the founder of Dristi Nepal, a women-led nonprofit supporting women who use drugs, women living with HIV, single mothers, and survivors of violence. We talk about what stigma looks like up close: being denied dignity at service centers, facing invasive questions in clinics, and being blamed for violence instead of protected from it. Parina breaks down how patriarchy shows up in policy and daily life. And how different are women struggles between the two countries.  Key Topics * Women’s rights in Nepal * Impact of stigma and discrimination * Role of activism and community support * Challenges in accessing legal documentation * Disparities in treatment of women and men  About Parina With over 20 years of experience as an activist in Nepal, Parina has dedicated her life, career and expertise with experience to advancing the rights and well-being of women who use drugs and those who are living with HIV, single mothers, and survivors of violence. Her work focuses on gender-specific issues, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), gender-based violence (GBV), stigma reduction, mental health, human rights, and the intersection of drug use and HIV within the feminist movement. She has led numerous capacity-building initiatives, training programs, and advocacy campaigns aimed at strengthening leadership, reducing discrimination, and improving access to essential services for marginalized women. We’re here to say it clearly: a lot of this is hormonal, and there are real, evidence-based ways to make it easier. We sit down with Dana Lawson, a certified health coach and menopause educator to explain what is really going on.   Key Topics * Peri-Menopause * The misconceptions of menopause * Men get menopause?  * Nutrition and menopause * HRT * Women of color and menopause  About Dana Dana Lawson is a Certified Health Coach and Menopause Educator with over 15 years in the health and wellness industry. Your life isn’t messy because you’re “bad at adulting” it’s messy because you’re trying to run a neurotypical system with an ADHD brain while carrying the whole single-mom load. I sit down with Kate, an accredited career and ADHD coach and the founder of 8 Percent Coaching, to get real about what adult ADHD in women actually looks like behind the stereotypes, and why so many high-achieving women don’t get diagnosed until their 30s, 40s, or even menopause. Ep. 29 Do You Have A Mother Wound?

Some relationships shape you before you even have words for what’s happening and that’s why the mother wound can feel so hard to name. I’m joined by Tania, a Brooklyn-born Latina podcaster who keeps it raw, funny, and honest, to talk about the complicated mix of love, loyalty, criticism, and expectation that can sit between mothers and daughters, especially in cultures where “respect your mother” is treated like a rule you’re not allowed to question. About Tania Brooklyn-born Latina podcaster with a passion for entertaining, storytelling, and keeping it raw and real. Blending comedy, honesty, and heart, she brings unfiltered conversations about life, growth, relationships, and everything in between. Fueled by her love for family and friends, she creates a space where authenticity meets laughter — because real life deserves real talk.
