Descripción

My guest today is Jim Walter, the Founder and President of the Institute for the Preservation of Health [https://www.jimwalterspeaks.com/]. Motivated by the premature death of his Father at age 45, Dr. Walter tailored his education to study the factors that contribute to the development of heart disease. He ultimately completed his PhD in Cardiovascular Exercise Physiology in 1991, and he spent the first 10 years of his professional career teaching and developing preventive and rehabilitative cardiology programs in the Philadelphia area. He has spent the last 23 years in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry, but his passion has always remained to help people take more responsibility for their own health. He is recognized for his leadership skills, inspiring stories, unique ideas, and motivational techniques that help individuals incorporate more activity into their daily lives. The culmination of these experiences has fueled his desire to speak to large audiences to help them live healthier lives.

My guest today is Tim Klitch, the Founder and Chief Fun Officer of Austin Pickle Ranch, one of the most innovative pickleball destinations in the United States [https://austinpickleranch.com/]. A former scholarship tennis player at Miami University, Klitch was a three-time Mid-American Conference champion and world-ranked tennis competitor before launching a successful 35-year career in banking and financial services. After more than three decades in the industry, he discovered pickleball in 2019 and saw an opportunity to help shape the future of one of America's fastest-growing sports. At Austin Pickle Ranch, Klitch's vision is simple: everyone deserves a place to play. The facility offers coaching programs, youth clinics, summer camps, memberships, events, and one of the area's premier pickleball development programs. Its newest indoor location features 16 courts, advanced sound-dampening technology, and a design focused on accessibility and player experience.

She's been part of the Road to Wellness team since 2021 [https://www.roadtowellness5k.com/summertrainings/], working to raise awareness of a free community health event that has grown into something much bigger than a road race. For Golsa, the most rewarding part is sharing the incredible stories and journeys that emerge from this community.
