Motherhood rarely goes exactly the way we imagine. In this episode of Overcaffeinated and Out of Effs I sit down with Eden Koz as she shares what it was like to raise her daughter who has a rare neurological condition as she navigated years of uncertainty, balancing work and caregiving, surviving a life-threatening illness and eventually rebuilding her life after divorce. Eden talks about what it's really like to raise a child with special needs, the isolation so many parents experience after a diagnosis and how simple mindfulness practices helped her stay grounded through some of life's biggest challenges. In this episode we talk about: * What it was like receiving her daughter's diagnosis and feeling completely alone * The emotional reality of raising a child with special needs * The grief of letting go of the expectations you had for your child's future * How mindfulness helped her navigate parenting, health challenges and divorce * How mindfulness can improve emotional regulation during stressful parenting moments * Simple ways to become more present with your children Find Eden at: Website: https://edenjustbe.com [https://edenjustbe.com/] Facebook Professional: Eden Koz Just Be - https://www.facebook.com/edenkozjustbe [https://www.facebook.com/edenkozjustbe] Facebook Business: Eden Just Be - https://www.facebook.com/edenjustbe [https://www.facebook.com/edenjustbe] Instagram: Eden Koz Just Be - https://www.instagram.com/edenkozjustbe [https://www.instagram.com/edenkozjustbe] TikTok: Eden Koz Just Be - http://tiktok.com/@edenkoz_justbe [http://tiktok.com/@edenkoz_justbe] X: Eden Koz Just Be - https://x.com/EdenKozJustBe [https://x.com/EdenKozJustBe] LinkedIn: Eden Koz - https://www.linkedin.com/in/eden-koz-1323a52 [https://www.linkedin.com/in/eden-koz-1323a52] YouTube: Just Be LLC - https://www.youtube.com/c/JustBeLLC [https://www.youtube.com/c/JustBeLLC] BitChute: Eden Koz - https://www.bitchute.com/channel/r9BrfW9zFPzy [https://www.bitchute.com/channel/r9BrfW9zFPzy] Looking for extra support? Why "Just Work Harder" Doesn't Work for Burned Out Working Moms

In today's episode of Overcaffeinated and Out of Effs I sit down with burnout coach and former UX executive Nicole Johnson for a conversation about what happens when your life has you managing a crisis but the world still expects you to show up and perform like everything is fine. After spending 27 years leading UX teams at companies like Amazon, Target and Best Buy, Nicole shares what it was like to raise her medically complex son as a single mom. Together we talk about why burnout isn't always about poor boundaries or taking on too much, how modern work culture often overlooks the realities many working moms face and why redefining success can be one of the most freeing parts of burnout recovery. In this episode we talk about: * Nicole's journey balancing executive leadership with single motherhood to a medically complex son * What burnout looked and felt like during years of navigating medical crisis * Why “just work harder” isn't the answer for so many burned out working moms * The importance of redefining success during difficult seasons * Practical ways to protect your well-being when life doesn't slow down Find Nicole at: https://holdingitallanddroppinghalf.substack.com/ [https://holdingitallanddroppinghalf.substack.com/ ] https://www.dropmoreholdless.com/ [https://www.dropmoreholdless.com/ ] ****TO BE ENTERED IN THE FREE GIVEAWAYS, RATE THE OVERCAFFEINATED AND OUT OF EFFS PODCAST AND SEND YOUR SCREENSHOT HERE BY 12:00AM EST ON MONDAY, 7/13/2026: https://m.me/ChristiGmyrCoaching [https://m.me/ChristiGmyrCoaching] Looking for extra support? A Year of Podcasting: The 4 Biggest Lessons Every Burned Out Working Mom Needs to Know

This week marks a major milestones: one full year of Overcaffeinated and Out of Effs! When I started this podcast, my goal was to help burned out, career-minded moms feel less alone and provide practical support for the challenges that come with juggling work, motherhood, relationships and everything in between. Over the last year I've had conversations with experts, interviewed incredible moms, shared my own experiences and connected with so many listeners who are struggling with stress, overwhelm, guilt, resentment, exhaustion and burnout. As I reflected on the past year, I realized there are a few lessons that keep coming up again and again....lessons I wish every burned out working mom knew. In this special anniversary episode, I'm sharing the four biggest takeaways I've learned from a year of conversations about burnout and working motherhood. In this episode I talk about: * Why burnout isn't a personal failure * The reason doing more won't help you recover from burnout * Why you can love your family and still need something for yourself * How burnout can cause you to lose touch with your identity * The small shifts that can create meaningful change in your life ****TO BE ENTERED IN THE FREE GIVEAWAYS, RATE THE OVERCAFFEINATED AND OUT OF EFFS PODCAST AND SEND YOUR SCREENSHOT HERE BY 12:00AM EST ON MONDAY, 7/13/2026: https://m.me/ChristiGmyrCoaching [https://m.me/ChristiGmyrCoaching] Looking for extra support? Burnout, Perimenopause & Learning to Slow the Eff Down

In today's episode of Overcaffeinated and Out of Effs I sit down with wellness professional and fellow mom, Lisa Beth Lent, to talk about the burnout that so many moms experience but don't recognize until their bodies force them to pay attention. As a single mom, business owner and caregiver, Lisa Beth spent years pushing through exhaustion and ignoring her own needs to put everyone else first. Eventually her body had enough and she was forced to slow down and learn to honor her limits. Together we talk about the hidden costs of chronic stress, the connection between burnout and physical health, the unique challenges women face during perimenopause and why making yourself a priority is necessary. In this episode we talk about: * Lisa's experience navigating burnout as a single/divorced mom and business owner * The impact chronic stress can have on your physical health * The realities of perimenopause and how it can intensify burnout symptoms * The “hidden wisdom” in perimenopause * Learning to respect your limits instead of pushing through themselves * Practical ways to start putting yourself back on your own priority list Find Lisa Beth at: Website: www.inneralignmenteducation.com [www.inneralignmenteducation.com] YouTube (@inneralignmenteducation) Facebook and Instagram @lisabethlent Looking for extra support? Messy House and Chronic Overwhelm: Organization Tips for Burned Out Working Moms

If you've ever looked around your house and felt completely overwhelmed by the piles, clutter and never-ending to-do-list, this episode is for you. Many burned out working moms assume their messy house is the problem. But what if the clutter is actually a symptom of something deeper? In today's episode of Overcaffeinated and Out of Effs I sit down with professional organizer and business owner, Tina O'Keeffe, to talk about the relationship between a messy house, chronic overwhelm and mom burnout. Tina shares her own journey from a career in communications to building a successful organizing business while raising three daughters. Together we explore why so many moms struggle to stay on top of their homes, how the mental load of motherhood contributes to household chaos and practical organization strategies that can help create more calm in everyday life. Together we talk about: * The connection between clutter, chronic overwhelm and burnout * Why organization is about more than having a tidy home * Common mistakes overwhelmed moms make when trying to get organized * How clutter can be a signal that something deeper is going on * The role decision fatigue plays in disorganization * Practical organization tips that work for busy working moms Whether you're feeling buried by laundry, frustrated by constant clutter or simply exhausted from trying to do it all, this conversation is a reminder that you're not failing.
