Power Up Podcast #145

Descripción

In this week's Power Up Podcast, Taylor is joined by Anthony & Matt as they focus predominantly on Tech this week due to the slowness of gaming news over the past two weeks. This week, to kick things off, we discuss the recent restrictions Nvidia placed on their 30 series GPUs for crypto mining & just how these restrictions have been bypassed. We delve deep into how miners are getting around the limited hash rates of the 3060 cards and how miners are also purchasing laptops now to extend their mining rig. The Intel 11700k CPU has had its embargo broken and a ton of the CPUs have shown up on sale all around the web. We take a look at one of the reviews for the new chip and just how it stacks up to other Intel and AMD chips and whether this CPU has a place in the CPU market. A couple of the gaming topics we discussed this week include a patch for GTA V which helps cut download times in the game. EA Play coming to PC Game Pass. & games from Bethesda Softworks will no longer be buggy messes.

Next Nintendo Switch has been leaked! - Anthem Dies Forever | Power Up Podcast #144

In this week's Power Up Podcast, Taylor is joined by both Matt & Anthony for a gaming-filled podcast including breakdowns of the latest Nintendo Switch model, Elden Reing gameplay, & the death of Anthem for good. Our first topic for this week's show comes from Rumors circulating relating to a new Nintendo Switch model/console that could be on the horizon. The boys speculate about just what this could mean for Nintendo and if this will be a Switch Pro console or, just a screen refresh to bring the console to the latest tech specs. Following this, we discuss the leaked gameplay supposedly from Elden Ring. Does this gameplay hold up & just what does the leaked video footage show? We discuss when we may see a legit Elden Ring gameplay trailer and more details surrounding that game. Could we see a 2022 release? President Biden has also signed an executive order to help investigate chip & semi-conductor shortages in the United States. What will this investigation find? Could it be purely because of the Coronavirus Pandemic that we have seen this shortage? These were just some of the topics from today's show. It seems Bioware has decided to cut out a couple of the camera angles in cutscenes and in the gameplay itself to make the game more PG. * Google has decided to cut all First Party support for Google Stadia. Google decided it is time for them to change the approach they are taking for Stadia to try and grow their player base. Is Stadia dying? Could this be the first sign of them retiring the project? We shall see. * TSMC has revealed they are fully booked up until 2024. This means Intel will be unable to go after TSMC for chip manufacturing, meaning Intel will be stuck with 7nm chips until at least 2024 Check outhttps://cultureofgaming.com [https://cultureofgaming.com/]and click on our community Discord.
