Descripción

In this episode of She Speaks to Scale, I'm joined by Nesha Mistry, an Artist and Emotional Wellness Mentor and Founder of Nesha Canvas Creations - for one of the most moving conversations I've had since starting this podcast. Nesha is a former client of mine, and it's been wonderful to watch her grow from someone who struggled to talk about her business to someone who has since shared her thoughts, opinions and insights in parliament. I’m grateful to have been a small part of the journey to where she is today - making the impact she is meant to make in the world. We explore Nesha's deeply personal journey with her voice - from being bullied and unheard as a child, to finding expression through art, to speaking in spaces she never imagined she'd speak in. In this episode, we also cover: 🎙️ Why Nesha's voice was either too loud or too small growing up and how she finally found the middle ground 🎙️ How creativity became her first language and how art gave her a voice 🎙️ The coaching exercise that changed everything and why Nesha still uses it today 🎙️ What she does when setbacks hit, as they inevitably do About the Guest: Nesha Mistry is a self-taught Artist, Emotional Wellness Mentor, certified Life Coach, Mental Health First Aider and she is also trained in suicide awareness. 10. What To Say When You Don't Know What to Say (And Why You Know More Than You Think)

In this episode of 'She Speaks to Scale,' I'm tackling a popular topic when it comes to holding back from using your voice - what to say when you don't know what to say. Not knowing what to say can keep you invisible, cause you to turn down media opportunities and stop you from speaking in the way you really want to. It means you haven't yet built the toolkit to make sure you always have something ready to say. Drawing on over 20 years of experience in television production and as a communication coach, I'm sharing the practical strategies I use with my own clients to make sure they are never lost for words. In this episode, I share: 🎙️Why you already know more than you think and why speaking opportunities don't require you to reinvent the wheel 🎙️How to return to your mission when inspiration runs dry 🎙️Why relevance is everything and how to make what you do matter right now 🎙️How to answer the question 'why me?' with confidence 🎙️The power of personal stories, lessons learnt and client wins and why they are some of your most powerful speaking tools About the Host: Sarah Collins is a Media Trainer, ICF-Accredited Communication Coach, former Senior TV Producer for ITV and ITN and now host of the She Speaks to Scale podcast. She helps spokespeople and experts to speak with impact and become camera and media ready through a blend of media training and communication coaching. 6 week programme, Your Expert Era: Sarah Collins Coaching - Work with Me [https://sarahcollinscoaching.com/services] Get in Touch Do reach out to connect or contact me - I'd love to hear your takeaways and thoughts: Instagram - @sarahcollins_coachconsultant LinkedIn - Sarah Collins | LinkedIn [https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarahcollinscoaching/] Website: www.sarahcollinscoaching.com [http://www.sarahcollinscoaching.com] Download your free 5 minute Camera Confidence Audio: Free 5-Minute Camera Confidence Audio [https://sarahcollinscoaching.com/opt-in-5-minute-confidence-audio] In person workshop - Unmistakable [https://sarahcollinscoaching.com/unmistakable] Email: hello@sarahcollinscoaching.com [hello@sarahcollinscoaching.com] If you enjoyed this episode, please follow and leave a rating or review - it would be very much appreciated.
