Spark Access to Music Education

Shawnee Kish is revolutionary. As a Mohawk singer-songwriter, Shawnee was nominated for the 2022 Juno Award for Contemporary Indigenous Artist. Her debut EP was released in 2021. In the same year she was the creator of "Music Is My Medicine", a symphonic work which was performed by the National Arts Centre Orchestra. Shawnee is an outspoken advocate for her 2SLGBTQ+ and Indigenous communities and has shared the stage with some of the world's biggest names — Lady Gaga, Madonna and Alicia Keys to name a few.  Tune into this special Be Revolutionary episode of Spark to learn more about Shawnee, why she is lending her voice to amplify the work of music education charity MusiCounts, and what makes her revolutionary.

Spark Accessibility with Taylor Lindsay-Noel

Révolutionnaire co-founders Justice + Nia guest co-host this special Be Revolutionary episode of Spark by Révolutionnaire with special guest Taylor Lindsay Noel. The three have a conversation about the importance of inclusivity and accessibility as well as the work of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Centre.  Taylor Lindsay-Noel is revolutionary. 15 years ago, she was a Canadian national gymnast, but under the coercion of her coach, she had a devastating accident that instantly paralyzed her from the neck down for life.
