The benchmark Kospi extended losses after the Korea Exchange’s 20 minute trading halt, falling as much as 9%. Samsung Electronics Co. and SK Hynix Inc. each fell more than 10% at one point. - The Taiex Index fell 3.6% at 44,571.76 in Taipei. The move was the biggest since falling 4.4% on March 9 and follows the previous session's increase of 0.5%. MediaTek shares fell as much as 10%.
