Introducing Guest Expert, Swathi Weaver, joining us this week on our Podcast Talk South Asian To Me to talk about Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating. Swathi is a Licensed Professional Counselor and board approved Supervisor currently based in San Antonio, Texas. She was born and raised in Ongole, India. Swathi has 10 years of experience in clinical mental health counseling. She holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from UTSA, where her research focused on eating disorder risks among Indian-American women. Complementing her academic work, she launched the podcast Dosas and Mimosas to explore body image and mental health stigma within the South Asian community. Swathi is currently a counselor educator at Easter Oregon University, training Masters level counseling students to become future counselors themselves!
