Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2105426/fan_mail/new] In this episode of the Abide Podcast: A Love That Changes Everything, we journey into John 6:22–51 and explore Jesus' first great "I Am" declaration: "I am the Bread of Life." After feeding the five thousand, the crowds pursue Jesus hoping for another meal, but Jesus lovingly redirects their attention to a deeper reality: every human heart carries a hunger that cannot be satisfied by temporary things. Success, comfort, relationships, possessions, and accomplishments may offer momentary fulfillment, but they can never satisfy the deepest longings of the soul. Together, we'll reflect on why we so often seek the hand of God more than the face of God, the enemy's age-old lie that created things can satisfy us more than our Creator, and the beautiful invitation Jesus extends to all who are weary, searching, and spiritually hungry. What are you feeding your soul? What are you looking to for satisfaction, security, and peace? And what if the restlessness you feel is not evidence that something is wrong with you, but evidence that you were created for Someone greater? Join me as we discover the beautiful weight of Jesus' proclamation that He alone is the Bread of Life—the One who satisfies our deepest hunger, quenches our thirst forever, and offers eternal life to all who come to Him in faith. Scripture: John 6:22–51 Key Verse: "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to Me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in Me shall never thirst." — John 6:35 If you would like to support this ABIDE podcast and the other resources provided by my ministry, please consider donating at https://gretchenstevenson.com/donate/ [https://gretchenstevenson.com/donate/] Thank You! John 7: Who Is Jesus?

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2105426/fan_mail/new] In a world where everyone has an opinion about Jesus, how do we know who He really is? In this episode of A Love That Changes Everything, we continue our journey through the Gospel of John as we explore chapter 7. During the Feast of Tabernacles, opinions about Jesus were everywhere. His brothers doubted Him, the crowds debated Him, the religious leaders opposed Him, and the temple guards were sent to arrest Him. Yet through it all, Jesus remained steady because His identity was rooted in the Father who sent Him—not in the approval or rejection of people. Together, we'll discover why Jesus never allowed public opinion to define His mission, why He repeatedly pointed people back to the Father, and what His powerful invitation, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink," still means for us today. Whether you've known about Jesus for years or you're just beginning to explore who He is, this episode invites you to move beyond opinions and into a life-changing relationship with the One who alone satisfies the deepest thirst of the human soul. Scripture: John 7 Key Truth: Jesus doesn't ask us to redefine Him—He invites us to know Him as He has revealed Himself. John 6: More Than Enough

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2105426/fan_mail/new] Have you ever found yourself staring at a situation that felt bigger than your ability, resources, or strength to handle? Maybe you've felt underprepared, overwhelmed, stretched thin, or simply not enough. In this episode of the Abide Podcast, we continue our journey through the Gospel of John as we explore the familiar story of Jesus feeding the five thousand in John 6:1-15. While this miracle is often remembered for the multiplication of bread and fish, it reveals something even greater about the heart of Jesus: He is able to take our smallest offerings and use them for His glory. Together we'll discover how Jesus tested His disciples' faith, challenged them to look beyond their limitations, and demonstrated that God's provision is never dependent on the size of our resources but on the greatness of His power. If you've been wrestling with fear, uncertainty, disappointment, or feelings of inadequacy, this episode is an invitation to bring what little you have to Jesus and trust Him with the outcome. The same Savior who multiplied a boy's lunch into a feast for thousands is still at work today, supplying what His people need and reminding us that He is more than enough. Join me as we explore what it means to surrender our "five loaves and two fish" to the Lord and discover the abundance found in His faithful provision. Scripture: John 6:1-15 Reflection Questions: • What "five loaves and two fish" am I holding onto instead of surrendering to God? • Where am I focusing more on my limitations than on God's ability? • How might Jesus be inviting me to trust Him in an area where I feel inadequate or overwhelmed? • What evidence of God's provision can I look back on and celebrate today? Thank you for joining me on this journey through John's Gospel. My prayer is that as you abide in Christ, you will discover anew that His love truly changes everything. In this powerful passage, Jesus reveals profound truths about His relationship with the Father, the gift of eternal life, and the invitation for spiritually weary hearts to come alive in Him. Together we will wrestle with an important question: Do we truly believe Jesus is who He says He is?
