This week’s episode is all about explaining your birth team options. Who you have at your birth can make a huge difference for countless reasons so it’s not something to take lightly! Make sure to educate yourself on your options before choosing! Should you go with an OBGYN? A midwife? A doula? Some combination? Should you put your maternal instincts to the test and do a free birth? In this episode we will explain their similarities, their differences, some statistics, and our opinions of each. Now that we’ve covered our birth stories we’re going to dig into pregnancy and parenting, the core of our show! 2: Our Second Birth Story (Home Birth)

Our second daughter's pregnancy and birth was completely different from our first baby's in about every way, starting from the very beginning, the pregnancy reveal all the way to post-partum. In this episode we unpack our second birth and how it was different from our first daughter's birth. For one thing, she was born in our living room as opposed to a C-section. The pregnancy was much more difficult but the labor and delivery was exactly what we were wanting! We discuss morning sickness, gestational diabetes, home-birth, midwifery care, doulas, labor and delivery, water birth, pain management during labor, post-partum hemorrhaging, cutting the cord, and a bunch more! 1: Our First Birth Story (C-section)

In this episode, we talk about our first daughter's birth story, how we planned for a birthing center birth but were forced into a cesarean section since our baby girl was frank breach. Making a plan is great, and so is hoping for the best, but you should also be prepared to not get the birth you're hoping for since it's not up to you at the end of the day. We talk a little about morning sickness, anxieties around being new parents, post-partum depression, and how you should prepare yourself for any kind of birth.
