Living under surveillance: John’s experience with NMIBC

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1789063/fan_mail/new] In this episode, John G. shares his experience with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, from early symptoms he first noticed during the COVID-19 pandemic to the discovery of two bladder tumors years later. John reflects on the challenges of navigating his diagnosis, undergoing multiple cystoscopies and TURBT procedures, and adapting to life under ongoing surveillance.  John also opens up about the emotional toll of facing bladder cancer while dealing with several serious health issues at the same time, including a heart condition and a neurological event. Throughout his experience, he turned to research, patient forums, and conversations with his healthcare team to better understand his diagnosis and treatment options.   Now proudly calling himself a cancer survivor, John shares how his experience has shaped his outlook on life and why he believes it's important to share his story to help others feel less alone on their own bladder cancer journeys.
