Scott Moe: From farmer to Saskatchewan Premier to Trudeau foe

Premier Scott Moe joins Christy Clark for an animated interview about how he has helped transform Saskatchewan into an economic powerhouse at a time when other provinces are struggling. Like his parents, Moe was a farmer but wasn’t interested in politics until he got involved with boosting businesses in his hometown. Since becoming a Saskatchewan Party MLA in 2011, Moe has always championed energy, economic growth and resource development, and he got into some big battles with former prime minister Justin Trudeau over it. Moe has been laser-focused on developing Saskatchewan’s resources and exporting them around the world but has also faced western alienation in his own province as separatism dominates the agenda in neighbouring Alberta. In this interview with Christy Clark, Moe speaks openly about: * How Saskatchewan became a global trade powerhouse * Leading in a big tent party * Challenge of saving public health care * Canada Health Act is outdated and has to change * Battling it out with Justin Trudeau * Mark Carney isn’t going fast enough! * Tackling western frustration * Taking our national energy sovereignty for granted * What the heck is a bunny hug? Frank McKenna: Premier, business titan, proud New Brunswicker … and future Prime Minister?

Frank McKenna was a rural New Brunswick lawyer who rose to become one of Canada’s most successful politicians in the 1980s and 90s. As NB Premier, he turned around that province’s economy through modernization and created thousands of jobs. He has been touted as a possible Liberal leader and future prime minister for decades, but instead emerged as one of Canada’s top business leaders. McKenna is very passionate and direct about how Canada should invest in energy and infrastructure, and has a lot of advice for current Prime Minister Mark Carney in dealing with the “betrayal” of the US administration and separatist threats. In this interview with Christy Clark, McKenna speaks openly about: * Growing up poor in rural NB * Winning every seat in 1987 to become Premier * Becoming the “Job Hustler” turning around NB economy * Mark Carney needing to show results now * Why Carney should rely more on his ministers * Europe struggling and UK circling the drain * US “betrayal” of Canada as a friend and trading partner * How Alberta separatism referendum could be as corrosive as Brexit * How referendums are like cockroaches (there’s never just one) * How Ottawa needs to play more hardball to get things built * Giving back with scholarships to St. Francis Xavier University (St. FX) The Christy Clark Show thechristyclarkshow.com [https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=channel_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbTFON29oXzIySzFlNjM3VWdNQV9GOFVnRDlTZ3xBQ3Jtc0tra2FPNVlEaE9nSmhyeDE5ME1ySEtCeHRTOUw1SExIbFdpTjdFbGt2SnBLak0zR3lKVE9nSnBOVTlWM3VsVXVxY2tpa3JvdEFPRmMzWG5GOFN4M3FiOENnUkUzZ29zbU9vVDZuT2VZMUpfVm1RWll5UQ&q=https%3A%2F%2Fthechristyclarkshow.com%2F] Instagram instagram.com/christyclarkbc [https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=channel_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbU9aMnQzcXNDcnJ2bmJwMUk3RUtIUXpKci0tQXxBQ3Jtc0tsa2pDWGV0ZmEyenp2VFF6d0otTGduTDhobFRja2NhNmdIeE1EakZZdFpoV0JjN1ZDR092UHBnZ1owYnFIWTAtX0ZVWEc4T0l1X3M3TV9DT1pKcHd1UzFVem5oTi1yRnpIVHZYeUhpbEtsZzVpTEp0aw&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.instagram.com%2Fchristyclarkbc%2F] Linkedin https://www.linkedin.com/company/the-christy-clark-show/ [https://www.linkedin.com/company/the-christy-clark-show/] Inquiries info@thechristyclarkshow.com [info@thechristyclarkshow.com]

Jason Kenney: former Alberta premier, conservative firebrand, and lifelong political animal

Jason Kenney has been a political animal since he was a teenager growing up in Saskatchewan. He was first elected to the House of Commons while still in his 20s, and over the next 18 years rose to become a trusted cabinet minister under Prime Minister Stephen Harper. He returned to Alberta to unify a splintered conservative movement under one banner and become Premier in 2019, only to be dramatically deposed from within in a right-wing revolt over his handling of the pandemic. Today, Kenney has settled into life out of elected politics but still very much engaged in public debate over Alberta separatism, energy development and keeping the Conservative brand fresh and loud. In this interview with Christy, Jason recaps a 30-plus-year career in the public eye and reveals some surprising details about his political journey and its high and low points, such as: * He became politically active in his teens as a young Liberal * His conservative awakening at a U.S. college * BC Premier David Eby makes Justin Trudeau seem humble * The economic dangers of even just flirting with separatism * The radical right takeover of Alberta’s United Conservative Party * Albertans need to take ‘yes’ for an answer * Finding his family roots in Ireland after he was ousted as Premier * Pierre Poilievre deserves another shot as CPC leader The Christy Clark Show thechristyclarkshow.com [https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=channel_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbTFON29oXzIySzFlNjM3VWdNQV9GOFVnRDlTZ3xBQ3Jtc0tra2FPNVlEaE9nSmhyeDE5ME1ySEtCeHRTOUw1SExIbFdpTjdFbGt2SnBLak0zR3lKVE9nSnBOVTlWM3VsVXVxY2tpa3JvdEFPRmMzWG5GOFN4M3FiOENnUkUzZ29zbU9vVDZuT2VZMUpfVm1RWll5UQ&q=https%3A%2F%2Fthechristyclarkshow.com%2F] Instagram instagram.com/christyclarkbc [https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=channel_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbU9aMnQzcXNDcnJ2bmJwMUk3RUtIUXpKci0tQXxBQ3Jtc0tsa2pDWGV0ZmEyenp2VFF6d0otTGduTDhobFRja2NhNmdIeE1EakZZdFpoV0JjN1ZDR092UHBnZ1owYnFIWTAtX0ZVWEc4T0l1X3M3TV9DT1pKcHd1UzFVem5oTi1yRnpIVHZYeUhpbEtsZzVpTEp0aw&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.instagram.com%2Fchristyclarkbc%2F] Linkedin https://www.linkedin.com/company/the-christy-clark-show/ [https://www.linkedin.com/company/the-christy-clark-show/] Inquiries info@thechristyclarkshow.com [info@thechristyclarkshow.com]

John Bolton: Opposing Trump, Canada-U.S. relations, the Iran War and American power in a dangerous world

John Bolton joins Christy Clark for a candid conversation on global instability, Canada-U.S. relations, regime change in Iran and how to navigate a world where power is shifting so rapidly. Bolton served four U.S. presidents as a senior foreign policy official known for his hawkish stands. He was one of the architects of the Iraq War and the War on Terror, an ardent critic of the United Nations (even while he was the U.S. ambassador) and an advocate of forceful regime change for America’s foes. He offers a blunt assessment of Donald Trump’s erratic trade and foreign policy, saying they are creating long-term negative consequences. He also makes the case for regime change in Iran. Through it all, Bolton continues to be an unapologetic proponent of the maximum use of American power and might to advance U.S. interests. In this episode: -Canada’s trade relationship with the United States is under real strain -Why Trump’s tariffs may be doing lasting damage to both economies -The risk of turning to China as an alternative partner -Why “middle powers” may not be the solution Canada hopes for -The case for regime change in Iran -How conflict in the Middle East could reshape global energy and security -Why American leadership still matters more than many think -The future of conservatism after Trump 🔔 Subscribe and like The Christy Clark Show for more thoughtful, respectful conversations about the forces shaping our world.
