Canada vs. Trump's Tariffs
Last night, U.S. President Donald Trump imposed a 50 per cent tariff on most Canadian goods, set to take effect in 30 days. Paul Martin, Saskatchewan business commentator and expert, joins Evan to share his thoughts on a move that he says is a shot at the President's own foot.
What Happens When Police Arrive At A Deadly Crash?
Yesterday, the RCMP released a statement regarding the death of Saskatchewan Roughriders linebacker Jayden Dalke. Dalke’s SUV was travelling northbound in the southbound lane when the crash happened; officers also found alcohol and cannabis in his vehicle. Sgt. Tanner Maurice, RPS officer in charge of the Investigative Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Team (ICART), joins the show to share some insight on what a police officer goes through when on the scene of an accident and what steps are taken to collect evidence for the investigation.
Three fatalities in one year: What's happening with bears?
Saskatchewan is grappling with another tragic bear attack after two people were killed in the north last week. The deaths come just weeks after a separate fatal attack. To put that in perspective, Saskatchewan had only three documented fatal bear attacks in its entire history before 2026. Doug Clark, professor in the University of Saskatchewan's School of Environment and Sustainability, joins Evan to talk about bear activity and how people can stay safe outdoors.
Should you be worried about Cyclosporiasis?
There has been some explosive news as of late: a rare intestinal illness linked to contaminated fresh produce is making headlines after a growing outbreak in the United States. Dr. Joseph Blondeau, Saskatoon clinical microbiologist and Head of Clinical Microbiology at RUH and the University of Saskatchewan, joins Evan to bring us up to speed on what the illness is and how it can be prevented.
