Descripción

Tim and Joseph kick things off with a very early-morning vending machine emergency when one of Tim's machines at a healthcare facility goes offline, resulting in a sunrise trip to unplug it and plug it back in. From there, the conversation quickly turns into a deep dive on everything they've been watching lately.  The two discuss The Burrows, Cape Fear, and several true-crime documentaries, including one about a woman who faked a pregnancy and committed a horrific crime. They talk about the strange fascination people have with murder documentaries and why Netflix keeps making them.  The conversation also explores the Michael Jackson documentary and the complicated reality of separating an artist's incredible talent from disturbing allegations surrounding their personal life. They discuss celebrity culture, money, fame, and why having everything in the world still doesn't seem to make people happy.  Things eventually shift back toward entertainment as Joseph tells the story of seeing Masters of the Universe in a 4DX theater, complete with moving seats, air blasts, and water spraying in his face. Tim and Joseph also review Disclosure Day, debate movie theater experiences, discuss upcoming releases like The Odyssey, Spider-Man, and Supergirl, and reminisce about how much more exciting movie previews used to be before YouTube and social media spoiled everything.  Like most episodes with Joseph, it ends up feeling less like a podcast and more like sitting around with your friend for an hour talking about whatever random topics pop into your heads.  www.thefairviewsocialpodcast.com YouTube - www.youtube.com/@thefairviewsocialpodcast Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61574493103167 Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/thefairviewsocialpodcast/ X - https://x.com/fairviewsocial TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/ ⁨@thefairviewsocialpodcast⁩ Click here if you have questions about the show or would like to be a guest! #81 - What the Hell is Going on Around Here?

In this episode, Tim and Nikki share what life looks like when it feels like everything is happening at once. Their home renovation has turned the house into organized chaos, with furniture scattered everywhere, makeshift cooking stations set up around the house, and everyday routines completely disrupted while waiting on permits and construction progress.  The conversation also dives into the realities of starting a vending machine business. What looked like "passive income" on paper has turned into a constant process of moving inventory, finding better locations, and figuring things out as they go. They discuss the challenges of underperforming machines, moving inventory into the camper, and their long-term plans to keep growing the business.  The episode celebrates Jeems finishing an associate's degree and continuing toward the next step in school, leading to a discussion about education, personal growth, and surrounding yourself with people who challenge and encourage you. They also cover getting the pool back in order for summer, Eli's first attempt at smoking a brisket, and the strange reality that family somehow accumulates an endless supply of pool basketballs every year.  Of course, the conversation wouldn't be complete without talking about the President's Project, including excitement for the upcoming John Quincy Adams and Andrew Jackson episodes and the possibility of recording the Andrew Jackson episode from The Hermitage itself. By the end, it's another fun and honest look at family life, new businesses, home projects, and the constant adventure of juggling it all at once. www.thefairviewsocialpodcast.com YouTube - www.youtube.com/@thefairviewsocialpodcast Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61574493103167 Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/thefairviewsocialpodcast/ X - https://x.com/fairviewsocial TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/ ⁨@thefairviewsocialpodcast⁩ Click here if you have questions about the show or would like to be a guest! #79 - Coffee with the Hausellis's...

In this episode, Tim and Nikki are joined by Daniel and Erica Hause for a relaxed morning conversation that starts with parenting and somehow ends with campground investments, vending machines, and travel bidets.  The group reflects on raising teenagers, learning when to be a parent versus a friend, and what happens when kids begin growing into independent adults. Daniel and Erica share stories about navigating life with a teenage driver, a soon-to-be high school freshman, and the strange realization that the house is getting quieter as the kids get older.  The conversation also dives into marriage, discussing how relationships evolve after years of raising children and why some couples discover a whole new phase of dating once the kids become more independent. Along the way, they share the story of how Daniel and Erica first met, the awkward beginnings of their relationship, and the journey that led to nearly two decades of marriage.  Of course, no Fairview Social episode would be complete without a few unexpected detours. The group swaps stories about campground culture, RV life, entrepreneurship, vending machines, business ideas, and Tim's growing obsession with bidets. By the end, it's less of an interview and more like sitting around the kitchen table with friends while the conversation goes wherever it wants.  www.thefairviewsocialpodcast.com YouTube - www.youtube.com/@thefairviewsocialpodcast Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61574493103167 Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/thefairviewsocialpodcast/ X - https://x.com/fairviewsocial TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/ ⁨@thefairviewsocialpodcast⁩ Click here if you have questions about the show or would like to be a guest! Portada del episodio #78 - THE PRESIDENTS PROJECT: JOHN QUINCY ADAMS

#78 - THE PRESIDENTS PROJECT: JOHN QUINCY ADAMS

In Episode 6 of The Presidents Project, Tim and Mike take a deep dive into the life of John Quincy Adams, the sixth President of the United States and the son of President John Adams. Along the way, they also spend a surprising amount of time discussing the frustrations of AI-generated research, political dynasties, and whether “Larry” deserves to keep his job.  The conversation explores Adams’ remarkable upbringing, from growing up during the American Revolution to becoming one of the most educated and accomplished statesmen of his era. Fluent in multiple languages and deeply involved in diplomacy from a young age, Adams helped shape American foreign policy long before reaching the presidency.  Tim and Mike discuss Adams’ role in the Monroe Doctrine, his opposition to slavery, and the controversial election that put him in the White House despite losing the popular vote. They also dive into some of the stranger stories surrounding Adams, including his daily skinny-dipping routine in the Potomac River, his pet alligator, his love of dancing, and his reputation as one of the most intellectually gifted presidents in American history.  The episode highlights how Adams spent decades serving the country before and after his presidency, making him one of the most dedicated public servants in American history. While his presidency itself may not have been the most exciting, his influence on the nation stretched far beyond his four years in office. www.thefairviewsocialpodcast.com YouTube - www.youtube.com/@thefairviewsocialpodcast Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61574493103167 Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/thefairviewsocialpodcast/ X - https://x.com/fairviewsocial TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/ ⁨@thefairviewsocialpodcast⁩ Click here if you have questions about the show or would like to be a guest! #77 - There Are Three Types of Campers...

Tim and Joseph reunite for another chaotic episode where they cover everything from government corruption and binge-watching House of Cards to camper life, Chris Stapleton concerts, downtown Nashville disasters, and the strange social hierarchy of campground culture. Tim tells the full story of buying his first camper, taking it on its maiden voyage to a packed Tennessee campground, and trying to secretly learn how to hook up sewage pipes and utilities while feeling judged by permanent campground residents named things like “Duck.” The conversation turns into a hilarious breakdown of the three types of campers, trailer anxiety, campground politics, and why cooking bacon inside a camper is a terrible idea. The second half dives into Tim’s Chris Stapleton concert experience at Nissan Stadium, including expensive Ubers, surprise rainstorms, downtown Nashville chaos, and the realization that ride-sharing after concerts may be one of the circles of hell. Along the way they rant about parking, parenting, documentaries, Netflix disasters, Foo Fighters, and the weirdness of modern life in general. The whole episode feels like sitting around with old friends after a long week while every random topic somehow spirals into a story. www.thefairviewsocialpodcast.com YouTube - www.youtube.com/@thefairviewsocialpodcast Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61574493103167 Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/thefairviewsocialpodcast/ X - https://x.com/fairviewsocial TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/ ⁨@thefairviewsocialpodcast⁩ Click here if you have questions about the show or would like to be a guest!
