"It's life or death." Steve Elfers and Ian James traveled to India, Peru, Morocco and around the U.S. to report on the quickly dwindling supply of groundwater globally. As aquifers decline and wells begin to go dry, people are being forced to confront a growing crisis that has turned violent: thugs intimidate people to protect a precious resource, and farmers faced with insurmountable odds are committing suicide on a mass scale.
