The funny thing about celebrity protests is that they always assume Americans are devastated. Democrats constantly tell us they are the guardians of morality. The protectors of women. The defenders against racism. The watchdogs against anti-Semitism. The sentinels of decency. Fine. Then here comes a man accused of being racist, anti-Semitic, womanizing, predatory, and every other thing Democrats tell us should permanently disqualify someone from public life. This should have been easy. This should have taken three seconds. Question: "Do you condemn him?" Answer: "Yes." Done. Interview over. Go get coffee. But that's not what happened. Instead we got Olympic-level gymnastics. All they needed to do is denounce a racist, anti-Semite, womanizing, pedophile Nazi. AND THEY COULDN’T DO IT. The same people who can detect an offensive tweet from 2009 buried beneath seventeen deleted accounts and three hard drives. Yet somehow they can't form an opinion on this. It's remarkable. Welcome back to The Kevin Jackson Show, where every day I wake up wondering if the Democrats can possibly generate more insanity than they did the day before, and every day they answer me with the enthusiasm of a game-show contestant who just discovered the show has UNLIMITED BONUS ROUNDS. I don't know whether to be impressed or concerned. You have to give these people credit. If chaos were an Olympic sport, the Left would have enough gold medals to sink a cargo ship. Just when you think we've reached peak absurdity, another scandal pops up. Another fraud scheme gets exposed. Another government program turns out to be less about helping Americans and more about helping somebody's cousin buy a third vacation home. We're learning more every day about waste, fraud, and abuse that somehow managed to hide in plain sight for years. Obamacare. USAID. Immigration programs. NGO funding streams. Federal grants. And notice the pattern. The scandal isn't even the scandal anymore. The cover-up becomes the scandal. Then the cover-up of the cover-up becomes the scandal. Then the media arrives to explain why you shouldn't be looking at any of it. It's almost beautiful in its predictability. Before we get into the other races and some of the numbers from the election, let’s look at Fraud As for the broader political landscape, to paraphrase Scripture, there will be fraud and rumors of fraud. Every election cycle now follows the same pattern. Somebody raises concerns. Somebody else says those concerns are ridiculous. Then months later everyone discovers the concerns were at least worth discussing. The real issue isn't whether fraud exists. Of course it exists. The real issue is why we're so uncomfortable having honest conversations about preventing it. Banks don't apologize for security cameras. Casinos don't apologize for surveillance. Airports don't apologize for identity verification. Yet suggest election safeguards and suddenly people act as though you've proposed installing medieval drawbridges around polling places. Our trust has been broken so often, we trust very little. Trust isn't created by demanding trust. Trust is created through verification. That's true in business. It's true in relationships.
