In this episode of The Life of a Multifacet, I continue my recent keloid journey and break down what happened after the procedure, the radiation process, and everything that came with trying to heal while still showing up for myself. I talk about traveling back and forth from New York to New Jersey for the surgery, choosing to take the train instead of spending hundreds on a ride, dealing with swelling, healing, discomfort, and still pushing through the process with confidence. I also get into the radiation experience, the conversations I had along the way, and how this whole journey reminded me that resilience shows up in more ways than one. This episode is bigger than just skincare. It’s about not letting insecurity, setbacks, or outside opinions stop you from continuing to build yourself. In this episode of The Life of a Multifacet, I’m giving a real update on part three of my recent keloid removal process and breaking down what the surgery experience was actually like from start to finish. I talk about the difference between going under local versus anesthesia, the pre-op process, the medications they give you, what it was like getting up at 3 in the morning to travel from New York to New Jersey for the procedure, and how the full surgery day played out. I also get into the conversations I had with Dr. Jones, how this process came full circle for me, and why it means so much to be in a place now where I can use my story to help other people dealing with keloids and skincare issues. In this episode of The Life of a Multifacet, I continue my keloid journey and take it back through the process of getting multiple keloids removed over the years, seeing some of them come back, and trying to figure out what actually works. I talk about my first keloid removals back in 2019, what it felt like seeing them return bigger than before, going through different surgeons in Kentucky, Atlanta, and New York, and how frustrating it can be when you think you finally found the solution and then realize the process still isn’t done. This episode also gets into why I decided to go back to the surgeon who gave me the best work to date, how that decision came full circle, and why this journey has become bigger than just me. It’s also about impact, healing, and using my story to help other people who are dealing with keloids, insecurity, and not having clear answers. Sometimes the process isn’t one-and-done. Sometimes it takes setbacks, patience, and going back to what you know truly works.

Where My Keloid Journey Started

In this episode, I take it all the way back and talk about where my keloid journey really began. From dealing with scalp issues, acne, oily skin, and allergies at a young age, to later realizing that keloids were something deeply rooted in both sides of my family, this is a real breakdown of how it all started for me. I talk about the physical side of it, the mental side of it, the embarrassment, the confusion, and how hard it was trying different products and solutions without really understanding what was going on. I also get into my first keloid surgery, what led up to it, and what it felt like seeing those scars come right back. This episode is really about the beginning of a journey that affected my confidence, my appearance, and how I moved through life, long before I fully understood what I was dealing with.

Why Going Out Alone Will Change Your Life

I got a real challenge in this episode… go everywhere dolo for the next few months. This one is about what happened when I stopped waiting on people, stopped letting flaking and outside energy control my experiences, and started really going places by myself. I talk about how uncomfortable it can feel at first, but also how much freedom, confidence, and peace can come from learning how to enjoy your own company. From random nights out, solo events, birthday dinners by myself, and just moving through life on my own time, this episode is really about getting out of your comfort zone and realizing that some of your best moments might come when you stop waiting on other people to show up.
