E33: Real Life Doesn’t Stay on Topic

This one… didn’t go how we planned. We came in ready to talk about burnout -why so many men feel exhausted, stuck, and disconnected from the lives they’re living. And for a minute, we actually got there. We started unpacking the pressure, the expectations, the feeling of carrying too much for too long. And then… it went completely off the rails. Somewhere between $7,000 therapy sessions, life stress, gym talk, random side stories, and just being three guys trying to show up when life’s already been lifing… this episode turned into something else entirely. But honestly? That might be the real conversation. Because this is what it actually looks like sometimes. You try to go deep… and you can't focus. You try to be intentional… and life interrupts. You try to talk about what's really going on… and it comes out sideways, in jokes, in tangents, in chaos.  And maybe that is burnout. Not just being tired… but not even having the space or clarity to slow down and figure out why. So yeah… this episode is messy. It's unfiltered. It's all over the place. But it's also real.  And if you've ever felt like your life is a little scattered, a little overwhelming, and a little hard to pin down…  you'll probably feel right at home in this one. Episode 33: Real Life Doesn't Stay on Topic w/ Jason Smith, Christopher Stewart, and The Giant Therapist is out now on your favorite podcast platform, YouTube, and Facebook! E32: Do Men Really Want Independent Women?

Men say they want an independent woman… until she doesn’t need them. So what is it really? In this episode, the guys get into the tension between independence and connection. What it means to feel needed, what it means to be chosen, and why that dynamic matters more than most people want to admit. They unpack how roles, expectations, and identity show up in relationships, especially for men who feel the pressure to lead, provide, and still feel wanted at the same time. The conversation moves into real-life examples - where independence creates strength… and where it quietly creates distance. It’s not about control. It’s not about power. It’s about understanding the difference between: being needed… and being chosen. And why the healthiest relationships might actually require both.
