The Purpose of the Church: The Glory of God

Pastor Aaron preaches the second sermon in the summer series entitled "The Church: the Glory of God Displayed in the People of God." He takes us to Ephesians 1-3 and reminds us that when God does all the saving, He get's all the glory. The church exists for the sole purpose of displaying His glory.

Luke 7:36-50

We praised God for His great faithfulness over the past 5 years as we celebrated our 5th year anniversary as a church. We invited Pastor Greg Gilbert from Third Avenue Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky, to be our guest speaker for this occasion. Third Avenue Baptist Church sent Pastor Aaron and a handful of other families to plant TFCC. It was an honor to hear him speak about the foundation of the Christian community--Forgiveness in Christ.

Luke 13:10-21

Pastor Aaron preaches on the concealed and expanding kingdom of Jesus as we see that Jesus' concealed and expanding Kingdom is comprised of those whom He has freed. 1) Two People Illustrate the Kingdom (10-17) > The Weak and Disabled Woman (10-13) > The Pious and Disgruntled Man (14-17) 2)  Two Parables Illustrate the Kingdom (18-21) > The Mustard Seed—(18-19) > The Leavened Flour—(20-21)

Luke 13:1-9

Pastor Aaron reminds us of Jesus' warnings from Luke 13:1-9 to repent or perish and helps us understand what repentance is and what it isn't.
