a BOOKISH episode! this one's all about the similarities of Grown women by Sarai Johnson and Kin by Tayari Jones. my favorite reads of the month and also, VERY similar. exploring the themes of motherhood, sisterhood, and healing generational trauma. join the newsletter: https://tr.ee/MIx4BgmZzj follow on insta: https://www.instagram.com/verymuchreading/ thanks for being here! ❤️

very much: crossing the border to Tijuana on foot (San Diego → Mexico experience) 🇲🇽

took a $2.50 trolly in San Diego to the border of Mexico into Tijuana. here's what happened... in this episode of very much outside, i took the San Diego trolley all the way down, walked across the border into Tijuana, had a solo dinner at Caesar’s Restaurant (yes… THE birthplace of the caesar salad), and then casually walked back into the U.S. this was equal parts spontaneous, peaceful, and “...why did i do this?” 😂 but also a reminder that solo travel can be simple, miraculous, and a lil bit chaotic. if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like crossing the border on foot from San Diego to Tijuana, taking the trolley, or doing a quick solo trip to Mexico, give this episode a listen 🎙️✨ in this video: -taking the san diego trolley to the border -walking across into tijuana (in sandals) -solo dining at caesar’s restaurant -what the experience was really like -crossing back into the U.S. very much giving: spontaneous. very much giving: outside!
