Father opens with discussion about issues or topics that impact our society causing chaos yet we are not addressing or rather not properly addressing it and as such it is not being fixed and the reorder is not possible so we remain in chaos. After a break Father leads us in prayer then moves on to talk about The Trinity. He references and reads from an article, “This Sunday, The Trinity Means We are not the Children of Divorce, by Tom Hoops.  Father elaborates on the significance of the trinity and discusses the article and its reference to divorce, highlighting that God must be the center of all relationships.  Father reminds us that our faith is a commitment and we bear responsibility to carry our crosses and hold firm to the Truth, and we should not allow our religion to be watered down.   St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish [https://ststanschurch.org/]

Episode #4876 Tale of Two Williams

Father Koys takes us on another “brain wrinkling” walk as his mind turns to the “Tales of two Williams”.  Father Koys being the history buff that he is takes a deep dive into historical details around events with William Cecil; the powerful, longest serving politician in England and Secretary of State to King Henry VIII & Guillaume (William) de Nogaret; a french statesman, councilor and keeper of the seal to Phillip IV of France.  The tale revolves around these two men serving their respective kings as they battle the Catholic Church to protect their kings’ rights.  As Father Koys dives into and shares details and short stories about their battles and approaches, he highlights how one fought the church within the framework of Catholicism to achieve his goals while not destroying the church, while the other fought to reform the church at all cost with no care for its framework or boundaries.   St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish [https://ststanschurch.org/]

Episode #4875 Truth and Hope

Father Anthony with Cristina and Tony regroup today after the weekend to discuss the goings on, and people in the Parish.  Father greets everyone and chats a bit about his contemplating whether he is too negative, whether he offers light and hope as he is called to do.  While he speaks truth and does not sugarcoat things, he recognizes that he needs to offer hope and welcomes critique or reprimand as priest are not above it. The trio discusses the reality of speaking truth and how the vast majority of people do not want to hear truth and would rather be blissfully ignorant.  After prayer, Father focuses on the reading from Sunday from the Gospel of Matthew. He speaks to Jesus’ explanation of the parable and unpacks it.  Father shares quotes from past popes and addresses how prophetic they are and how some of them had direct impact to him and his journey.  Father points out that we would be wise to stay focused on prayer and pray incessantly praying the Jesus prayer which is taken right out of scripture.  He states how he truly wants to be a saint, how he wants for us, through him, to come to Christ.   St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish [https://ststanschurch.org/]

Episode #4874 Summer Fun and Relaxation

It’s Monday and Lauretta has her mind on all sorts of things this summer. She gives a shout out of congratulations to the Vance family on the new addition to their family, baby boy Alec.  She asks the prayer warriors to lift up the recently killed service members and their families and reminds all the prayer warriors to keep at it as the world needs peace. Lauretta could not do the show today without mentioning the World Cup-what excitement, the game, the players, the coaches, the fans and the delight of foreigners reveling in the USA!  While promoting summer fun and relaxation to all, Lauretta discusses her summer trip to Rome, her love of the beach and pool and her summer reading.  She makes it a point to promote reading over the summer as she encourages you to include reading selections that break out the scriptures in such a way to promote a stronger relationship with God.  Lauretta then takes a look at the Saints of this week, the beauty of their lives and contributions. She ends announcing the upcoming Encounter Retreat-Summer Intensive on August 6th-8th at St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights.
