Hey! This is a tabletop campaign ran on GURPS. Join us during our journey!Nearly 250 years ago a young man walked the lands. There are no records of his existence before he entered the Gray Wolf Tavern in the year 43 B.S. and proclaimed himself as the “Mad’har Ari” to the patrons of the tavern. He drunkenly preached of his great wisdom and skill, stating that he was destined to lead humanity into a new era. He claimed to be the greatest warrior alive, but none of the patrons or staff took seriously to his claims, until a large guard was ordered to escort the man outside for he was causing a disruption. With naught but his bare hands Mad’har Ari dispatched of the soldier, crushing his armor, but sparing his life.He claimed to have been born out of the sun and sky, the destined “Mad’har Ari” (meaning God of the Future) as foretold by the Prophecy of the Westerlings.For nearly a year Mad’har Ari wandered the countryside, preaching his religion, gaining followers, and forging an army of peasants which he, with supreme military tactics, used to conquer several villages. The “Turor’har Ari” (meaning Conquests of the Future) continued for twenty years in which all of the various governments and nations of Eslandri fell to the might of Mad’har Ari’s armies or diplomatic skill.Mad’har Ari then reorganized Eslandri into the island continent we see today, with four “Steward Houses” designated as the Stewards of the land, each in charge of one of the four sections of the island: North, East, West, and South. Beneath them lay their Minor Houses, responsible for paying tribute to their Stewards and keeping the peace. Mad’har Ari also forbid Eslandrians from entering the Westerlands, mandated schooling for the children of Eslandri, declared rules of war, established the Clerical Order to advance humanity’s knowledge and the goal of peace, and ordered the construction of “Y’uutar Akar” (meaning Dark Tower) in the center of Eslandri, over where the ruins of the Old Castle lied, where the Emperor of Old once resided over the Eslandrian Empire. This tower became the God Emperor’s seat of power over the continent. He proclaimed himself “God Emperor of all Eslandri,” and ruled for another twenty three years, until, in 0 B.S., a letter was sent throughout all the lands.All entry and exit from Y’uutar Akar is hereby forbidden. The God Emperor shall be entering a deep slumber. If need of him were to again arise, the below Prophecy of Awakening shall be invoked:Five Heroes, one of each Steward, and one from the Tar YestBorn in the Wolf of Gray, given a true TestPermitted at last to follow the path WestAnd wake the God Emperor from his RestIt is 31 May, 204 A.S. and you are all, for one reason or another, at the Gray Wolf Tavern.(Originally recorded in 2022)

"Terms" Awaken The God Emperor Gurps Campaign: Episode 67

The party convinced Duke Oakright to send 2,000 soldiers to aid Rugo so long as they agree to fight alongside them. Roke & Tariq agreed to go along but have refused to fight. Roke made Pierre give him the mysterious box and the scroll in order for Roke to agree to swear the oath to Duke Oakright to accompany the army. They are now marching northward.

"Purpose" Awaken The God Emperor Gurps Campaign: Episode 66

The party helped the survivors of a town that Hilp's band had attacked. Hilp was hanged from a tree by the towns folk, executed for his crimes. The party met a scouting party from a vassal house of the Lords of Rugo, led by a captain named Iris. They informed the party that there's a suther army that's been spotted having changed suddenly course and begun marching swiftly towards Rugo. They've also learned that Rugo has sent its armies south to relieve the siege of Gale, meaning the two armies are marching towards each other, and the lands north of the party are highly dangerous. Iris' band is travelling to Oakright's castle with the party in hopes of acquiring extra soldiers to join the Western forces in the oncoming battle. The party heard from the townsfolk that Lord Oakright has been gathering levies, men-at-arms, and food from all his nearby lands to build "the greatest garrison in all the Westlands, stocked by a limitless supply of food" at the expense of all the towns and cities in his lands

The party defeated a band of 6 Suther raiders, took a prisoner named Hilp, found a wagon full of goodies, and made their way to a town that Hilp's band had recently raided.

"Honor" Awaken The God Emperor Gurps Campaign: Episode 64

The party fought and slayed an ancient winged beast in the Western Wall. They then hiked through the mountains and made their way south to a small fishing village known as Forog. They learned there that ships no longer come from Gale, all of the village's soldiers have left, the invasion of the west has begun, and that Gale is already under heavy siege. They purchased three horses and are making their way to a castle between Gale and Rugo, held by the lord Oakright.

"Soaring" Awaken The God Emperor Gurps Campaign: Episode 63

The party ascended Mount Za'dar and met Ona, the mysterious head of the Kahina. They received the Mark of Za'dar, new Westerling names to use whenever they travel in the True West, and strange visions of the sun opening into a great green eye with a purple iris. They received "Prophet's Scroll," and were instructed to ask for the Captain of the Imperial Guard at Y'uutar Akar and to show him the scroll to receive entry in the God Emperor's tower. They were also gifted a mysterious, small, black box freezing to the touch. Pierre recognized it as the same material that Y'uutar Akar is made of. They headed East from Mount Za'dar, and have just arrived at an entrance of the Western Wall, in the south of the Westerlands.
