In this episode, Drew and Adam spoke back on February 16th, exactly one month ago today. In this episode, things were completely normal, the Astros were still the heart of news coverage in baseball. the Mookie Betts trade was still making waves in LA and Boston. Listen in, and enjoy our bliss, lack of anticipation for the upcoming pandemic, and what disappointment that was to come.
In this episode, Drew and Adam banter about the punishments received by the astros, and the fallout around the league. Later, they discuss trade talks surrounding Nolan Arenado and Mookie Betts. In Under the Microscope, Drew discusses the most lopsided teams (teams whose WAR is predominantly derived from either pitching OR hitting). Later, Adam breaks down the Twins signing of Josh Donaldson, and how that boosts the Twins' infield defense. Further on, Drew discusses the use of the phrase "the Next Mike Trout" and finds the first player that the phrase was used on.
