Episode #28: Making Your Path Straight, Learning to Trust God.

Should we trust in ourselves or in others who are sinful, unpredictable, unreliable, have limited wisdom, and who frequently make bad choices and decisions swayed by emotion? Or do we trust in the all-wise, all-knowing, all-powerful, gracious, merciful, loving God who has good intentions for us? The choice should be obvious, but we fail to trust God because we don’t know Him.    This episode will help us understand why we should trust God, who never lies and never fails to fulfill His promises. “God is not a man, that He should lie, now a son of man, that He should change His mind (Numbers 23:19).    God has not made Himself difficult to find or know. All we need to know about God, He has graciously made available to us in the Bible, His Holy Word to His people. To know God is to trust Him. Episode #27: Singleness as a Season or A Calling.

The question of a Christian staying single and what the Bible says about believers never marrying is often misunderstood In the Bible Paul, for example, did not have to worry about the extra problems and stresses that come with marriage and/or family. He devoted his entire life to spreading the Word of God. In this Episode we will learn how Following God’s plan, as a single, will result in the productivity and joy that God desires for us.   It is not a sin to remain single, even for your entire life. The most important thing in life is not finding a mate and having children, but serving God. We can learn what God’s will for us  by reading our Bibles and praying. Mental illness can distort our view of God and others. At times, it can also contribute to sinful behavior, especially when combined with declining health. While we cannot avoid challenges in this life, we can experience true peace through God, even in the midst of turmoil. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:18 On today’s podcast, we celebrate the first anniversary of Christian Women Rising. Scripture instructs us to give thanks in all circumstances, recognizing that God works for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28) and that His hand is in every situation. Today, we pause to praise the Lord for allowing us to serve as a platform that helps women of faith live godly lives according to Scripture and remain steadfast in their walk with Him. Host Angela Butler shares her personal story, the journey of how Christian Women Rising began, and what lies ahead for this ministry. We are deeply grateful for God’s many blessings, including the dedicated women who have shared the Gospel with us and the financial support that has sustained this podcast throughout the year.
