Do We Love... Reminiscing
Did you love that for us? [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2559263/fan_mail/new]
The fastest way to time travel is a smell, a taste, or a story you haven’t told in years and we hit all three. We start with real life chaos (recording problems, of course) and a very real update on speech therapy and voice health, including the rules that make daily life oddly hard: no throat clearing, no whispering, and taking breaks before your voice goes rough. If you’ve ever dealt with hoarseness, vocal strain, or a raspy voice, you’ll recognize the struggle immediately.
Then we sink into pure reminiscing: the drinks we miss (yes, Zima makes the list), the foods that only a parent or grandparent knew how to make, and the comfort of old-school TV dinners that somehow taste like being a kid. We talk lawn darts, dodgeball, scooters in gym class, and the kind of “normal” that would absolutely not pass today’s safety standards. The stories get specific, because that’s where nostalgia lives: family parties, fast food that used to be messier, and the little details that still make us laugh.
And just when you think it’s all comfort and throwbacks, we go straight into mediums, psychics, and a long-running family joke about a “hobo in the closet” that turns into something we didn’t expect. We also share a beekeeping update, what we learned from a bee documentary, and why hive life is both adorable and ruthless. Finish it off with rapid-fire opinions on self-driving cars, electric vs gas vehicles, coffee orders, and cutting your own hair.
If you laughed, felt seen, or got a little nostalgic, subscribe, share the episode with a friend, and leave us a review. What’s the one thing from your past you still miss?
