113 jaksotHave you ever thought or heard that faith and making money don’t go hand in hand? Have you ever thought about building passive income? Have you ever wondered how to grow your business in a Christ-like way? Jeremy McCommons is here today to share his journey through the marketplace and ministry. We discuss how to bring discipleship into our work through integrity, intentionality, decision-making, character, and openly living our faith. Jeremy explains how he built passive income, which allowed him to shift his time toward starting a discipleship group. Through prayer, study, and practicing Sabbath, Jeremy has created the space to follow the calling God placed on his heart.
What is actually important? Is it our hobbies, what we do with our free time, what we enjoy, or how much time we spend with God. Hobbies, interests, and other activities are good, but they are NOT living water. Jesus is the only one we can turn to for that. Alex and Jeremy are here to share about the mindset we need to consider when looking at our activities and hobbies. We need to take time to evaluate what in our life we may be putting more importance on that our relationship with God.
As a business leader, we have skills in leading teams, setting goals, and connecting those we meet in the marketplace. We have experience in time management and money management. Now, how many of us are using those skills to disciple others? How are we using those skills in our faith? Are we setting faith goals, meeting with people for faith talks, or discipling those we work with? Today Alex Rossie (ministry leader, ad campaign manager, director of operations, and realtor) joins us to challenge where we may be holding back in our faith. Alex challenges us to make an impact. Are we being obedient with what God has given us in the marketplace?
Have you wondered how you can become an effective disciple-maker, even as an ordinary Christian? Alex shares his story as an ordinary guy, his "come to Jesus" moment, his growth in discipleship, and his journey into disciple-making. From being arrested, working in roofing and office cleaning, dropping out of college, engaging in pioneer missions and church planting, to entrepreneurship, all the way to local disciple-making, we cover a story that resonates with those who feel inadequate but need the invitation. The whole point is this: Alex is super ordinary and just keeps saying yes to Jesus, using his learned skills to move forward in kingdom impact. If he's able to do this, then we know you can too. We're in your corner when it comes to becoming a disciple who makes disciples. Let's do this.
