When life gets crazy and stressful and just hard, I like to take time to reflect on small comforts that I cling to throughout the way. In this week's episode, I am talking about things I have been loving lately. Whether it's day-to-day, mundane things or something more extravagant, I thought of a list of things I wanted to share in this regard. I hope that through listening to me discuss the things that have been bringing me joy that you can think up some of your own. We all have things that make life a little better, and I am excited to share mine with you.

Just Start

We've all heard the classic pieces of advice: follow your heart, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, it's not about the destination, it's the journey. Sure, they're nice words, but they don't stick with me in a way that changed my day-to-day life. There is one piece of advice, though, that has made all the difference. It's simple, two words. And it's something I repeat to myself almost daily: just start. In this episode, I share how overthinking and anxiety can paralyze me. Whether it's starting to clean my messy room, doing homework, or preparing for a big move, instead of spiraling, I've learned to manage myself with these two words. Just start. Do one small thing. Silence is Scary

The world is loud. Everywhere you go, there is sound—music in stores, TVs in restaurants, and a phone that never stops buzzing. We are surrounded by noise, creating the tendency for silence to feel almost unnatural. Lately, silence has induced a feeling of dread in me. Having time to sit and think has been a frightening experience for me. With distractions, I don't have to think or feel or process, so when the noise stops, everything rushes in at once. I'm Handwriting the Entire Bible

Lately, I’ve been rethinking what I want this podcast to be. Honestly? I don’t want it to feel like a sermon. I want it to feel like a conversation. A space to share the real, messy, everyday parts of my life and faith. So today, I’m letting you in on something new I’ve been doing in my quiet times: handwriting the Bible. It started because I’ve always loved writing, whether it's journals, scribbles, or little notes everywhere. I realized that writing the words of Scripture slows me down, helps me remember what I read, and makes the stories come alive in a whole new way. It’s not always easy. Some days I don’t feel like writing at all, but this simple rhythm has made my quiet time feel more personal and meaningful.
