Trust in the Lord

There are so many things that we all do and have trust in things that we have no control over.  We put our trust in our clothing manufacturers that they want to fall apart as we go through our day. The road crew says that the road is safe to travel. The cooks are at the restaurant that we our food correct. These are all things that we put trust in and don’t give it another thought. Yet we have God that knows all things and the creator of all things, and sometimes we struggle trusting in Him. We wonder how we are going to make it this week, how we are going to pay for groceries or gas in our car. If a loved one will be healed that is sick or in the hospital. Why do we trust in man but limited our trust in the Lord? The Bible says that we can trust in the Lord.

I can’t think of anyone who hasn’t been low at some time in their life. The Bible teaches us that everyone of us can go from one extreme to another. We will all have Highs and Lows in our life, it is important to remember keep looking up and trust in the Lord.

I can’t think of anyone who doesn’t have struggles or meets some obstacles in their life.  The famous quote is "Offense sells tickets, defense wins championships," widely attributed to legendary Alabama football coach Paul "Bear" Bryant The Bible teaches us about our defense, and the requirements to have a great defense.

What's Important Now

He used this principle while leading his team. In the classroom, weight room, or on the field. What's Important Now.  These same principles can be applied in our life.  Hebrew 12:1-2 1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.   Colossians 3:1-2   1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.     Former Coach Lou Holtz applied a WIN mindset while coaching Norte Dame WIN stands for What's Important Now. What's Important Now.    Noah Genesis 6:1-8   1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. 5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.   Chapter 7:1 1 And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.   What's Important Now (Standing Still)   Psalms 46:10 10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.   Regardless of what all is going on around you, Stand Still. Noah was surrounded by evil, to the point the bible said it repented Lord that he made man and it grieved him at his heart. Noah stood still and kept building. Day after Day, Week after Week, Month after Month, Year after Year…Noah stood still.    The world is in need of individuals that will stand still!    Medal of Honor Recipient Vito Bertoldo  During World War II American Forces were forced to give up two command post, they decided to move under the cover of darkest. The plan was interrupted by enemy fire. Vito single handily for 48 hours straight without sleep held off enemy forces.
